Thanks! We went through all different names and my daughter had suggested those two. I got to looking at them and realized the correlation. I looked online for others and found some but not too many others. We started pouring through baby books looking for others that spell eachother backwards too but we liked Nadia and Aidan the most. It was so much more sweet (and she won't let us forget it either) that our oldest picked them both. She is 16 so she knows everything any way. It's a lot less draining not to argue with her at this point. LMAO

No but seriously, we are thrilled and love the names and find the concept to be interesting at least.

are they in the same placenta? if not they cant tell until they are born by doing a dna test, at least that is what the specialists have all told me, mine are sharing a placenta so they know they are identical, and they have to be same sex if they are identical but im sure you knew that

do u guys like this bedding or not?

im in love with it!!
it just sucks that u have to get double of everything for twins
it gets VERRRYYY pricey!

so the other day i was bitching about not having bedding and watnot so my boyfriend went out and got me some crib bedding that he liked and brought it back and suprised me. i feel sooo bad cause its SOOOO ugly. its like forest green and bright pink, with white and black checkers! i feel terrible cause i refuse to have that bedding for my first children but i dont wanna tell him cause i really dont wanna hurt his feelings.

I love Nadia & Aidan, pretty cool that their backwards, im not fond of matchy names for twins like Marisa & Karisa those type of names, but if you never said that Nadia is Aidan spelt backwards i would've never guessed! beautiful names btw!

WHEN IT COMES TO BEDDING

if you don't have much money just buy a fitted sheet and a bumper. we did spent onlt 60 instead of hundreds. it was useful. just as a fyi

ok i am totally agreeing with amanda on the bedding issue. I know being a first time mom that you want everything to be perfect, but don't waste your money. Here is why- anything in the crib other then the baby is a risk for SIDS. yes even bumpers.I know your probably asking why do they make them then- well they know moms especially first time moms can get suckered in. I bought two matching bed outfits that were ten piece sets(only spent 60 each) and the only thing i have used so far is the sheet and curtains. I think when i transfer to a toddler bed i will use the comforter but that is gonna be a while.
so my thoughts are save your dough for
1. good carseats and stroller
2. diapers,wipes
3. formula
4. other expences

Cassie- yes that outfit is adorable but sometimes you have to step back and look at the big picture.

I shopped around on Overstock.com and found two sets that I liked. I then went to eBay and immediately found the SAME sets available through "Beyond Bedding". They are new and from a reputable company so I bid on them. Overstock wanted $150 each set. I got them on eBay for $50 and $54a set. The sets include the bumper, fitted sheet, blanket, diaper stacker, toy hanger, pillow, 2 window valances and crib skirt! They just came in the mail today and my goodness are they adorable!!!??? I am extremely pleased and will buy from them again. Give it a shot. It definitely helped stretch my nursery budget having to buy two of everything...
I bid on both sets with a max bid of $60. The war ended at the prices above and I won them both. I also found the matching mobiles from the same store and ordered those as well. ($35 each but still worth it to finish off the look)

I am also looking at possibly buying the "Nursery in a Box" from Walmart. This way I can afford 2 sets and will put both cribs and dressers and one changing table in the nursery and that gives me another changing table to put downstairs all for less than the price of one designer crib.

If you look around you will find great deals. You just have to be willing to forego the nurseries that you see in magazines and realize that those are most likely unrealistic. Especially for twins.
Every first time mother wants everything perfect and brand new. You are going to have to learn to live on a shoestring budget having twins, might as well start now. LOL

Have you had an ultrasound? That is the only way to tell. I didn't even feel pregnant at all and I was pregnant with twins. There just is no magic, "Oh THAT'S it, it's twins" symptom, no matter how much you want it to be so. Eating a lot is certainly not a sign of anything, not even pregnancy. If you have had an ultrasound and they only showed one I'd say (and I'm not being mean here) be happy with what you have. Many women struggle just to get that. Were you taking fertility meds? If so, you have a shot but other than that honestly, your chances are very slim at twins (or more...). Yes it DOES happen, just look at how many identical Mommies there are here, but the chances are just not in your favor.
