i'm actually not sure if I have twins or not. I havnt had a check up yet, and I am 20 weeks pregnant (long story but having a check up tomarrow). My dad is a twin...could it be possible that I could have twins? In a way, I think I might. Sometimes I feel a movement on one side, and then the next minute it's a little further away from the last movement...unless that's normal?

thats normal for normal pregnancy and after i got twins and they aren't in my family i say anyone can.

aside from a million ultrasounds and extra visits and nst no. i had an amnio but any one can get those done

An NST is a non-stress test- they just hook you up to monitors to check the babies heart rates and contractions you may be having. My doc did this twice a week with me starting at 30 weeks.

Oh thenks! My doc's never mentioned it. Why do they do it? I start weekly appt. next week I thing and I'll be 31 weeks but still no mention of the nst

i had an amnio at 37 weeks to check lung development. they wanted to deliver me at 37 but my babes lungs said nope! not ready!

Hey ladies I thought I would join in. I have five month old faternal boys and yes they run in my family. I just never thought it would happen to me. My dad is a twin so he just thinks this is wonderful. so for those of you that don't know me, I had a shortened pregnancy 33 weeks. Out of the blue i went into preterm labor and fought that for five weeks. I was in the hospital on maginesium and still having contractions 5-10 min apart for five wonderful weeks. My boys spent three and five weeks in the NICU mostly as feeder growers. They had problems with bradacardia but they outgrew that before coming home. So I just want to say good luck to all of you that will be delivering in the next few months and congrats to all of you that made it through pregnancy!!
