Fraternal twins are only from the mothers side.

His side would have nothing to do with it, it'd all have to do with your body releasing two eggs.. or your body having the egg split. His gene can be passed down to your children though, so having a girl and his gene being passed to her can higher her chances of ending up with twins if I remember correctly.

thats the thing at 6weeks nd 5days Im showing big nd 9weeks nd 6days as well nd twins run in both our sides.... my grandmom had 2 sets of fraternal twins nd my mom was part of one nd my mom had all singles nd my 2 sisters had singles nd then hysterectomys nd I already had two singles as well this one feels off like there more then one in there

at 10 weeks, you wouldn't be *feeling* one or three. what you're feeling at 10 weeks is gas.
you may, or may not, be having twins. the only way to know for sure is an ultrasound.
or, you could wait and be REALLY surprised on the big day ;)

even with two i didnt feel any movement that I could say without a doubt it was them until 21wks

im not saying I feel anything like movements im feeling like in my gut there more then one in there lolsz

Hi ladies, I was wondering if you could share your hcg levels with me or your doubling times? I got a bfp at 10dpo and my hcg was 18 that day, and at 14 dpo it went up to 266. my doubling time is 24.7 hours! I was on clomid and have fraternal twins in my family(sister had boys and gradma had fraternal twin brothers). I've been dreaming of twins or triplets and even had a dream about quads last night! I have a gut feeling that there's two boys in there, I go for an u/s Monday and I'll be 7w3d so we'll know for sure, but in the mean time, I'm just looking for some reassurance one way or another, thanks in advance!!

I used to post in here back in Sept/Oct/Nov ish.. I was pregnant with Mo/Di Girls, due January 1st. I just want to write a quick message to let Mo/Di mommies know that there are a lot of risks with your pregnancy, far more then a fraternal twin pregnancy as you have 2 babies surviving off of one placenta. Please make sure to do your research and make sure you are receiving the proper monitoring during your pregnancy! I had a textbook twin pregnancy, there were no problems or concerns at all, and then at 37+4 one of my babies girls passed and they did an emergency c-section to save my other baby. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THE SERIOUSNESS OF THESE PREGNANCIES!

Awwe *hugs* I'm so sorry about your LO   is the other LO doing well? Did she have any issues from it?
