re: PREGNANT WITH TWINS? (or more)

I have not posted a status update on my twins but I will tonight. I am now 34 weeks pregnant but at 33 weeks pregnant I went into preterm labor and now I am on complete bedrest in the hospital. This is going to be along 3 weeks. I am wanting to have them at 37 weeks if I can make it and the doctors are not sure if I am or not but the twins are weighing at Baby A 4lbs. 12oz. according to u/s and Baby B 5lbs. They are measuring in the 90th percentile for weight according to u/s which doctors are happy about. So far I am looking at a vaginal delivery for both babies. But Baby B is able to move around Baby A is at -3 station so she is the reason they believe I can do both vaginally. I am just wanting them to be healthy.

Sounds like they will do great! Being in hospital is the worst though! It was the worst 5 weeks of my life I think! I feel so bad for you! Hopefully you have lots of good company. Hugs.

Just found out I'm pregnant with TWINS! Totally in shock!!!! I'm 7 weeks and the heartbeats are at 82 and 84 bpm.... that seems low to me but they said it was fine. any imput???

I can't totally remember what's "normal". If they said its okay I'm sure it is. My twins at 7 weeks 3 days were like 153 and 154.

That scares me but he is the doctor so i guess i need to just have a little faith. i go back next week. seems like he's going to be seeing me weekly... or at least bi-weekly. how often were you seen? i know he considers me high risk because of my past with pulmonary embolisms but i also know they consider twins high risk... Just tryin to wrap my head around what's going on ;-)

i have mono/di twin boys also!   i'm due january 20th! good luck momma!

I am pregnant wit twin girls now their due on the 28th of Dec. But my Dr. Said he gone take them on the 15th of Dec.

I'm currently 31 weeks with my twin boys and have now been put on bed rest because my cervix has shortened and Dr is worried about me funneling fluids and going preterm. Just curious for those who have given birth already to twins, how many weeks were you and did your babies have a long stay at the hospital? I go back to the Dr tomorrow for an ultrasound to see how things have changed from last week when they put me on bed rest. Last week my boys weighed 3.7lbs and 3.10lbs so the Dr did say their weight looked good and everything else with them was fine development wise so that was reassuring at least.

48hr stay for all of us. no nicu time

34 weeks 4 days
Weights were 4 lb 2 oz and 4 lb 15 oz
Two week stay in hospital. Baby b has CPAP for 36 hours, tube fed for a week and a half while breastfeeding was established. Otherwise they were generally healthy and doing great now at 5 months! Oh I should say I had the steroid injections at 29 weeks though.

32 weeks 3 days, two identical girls (shared placenta), they were starting to show distress due to TTTS
no sign of early labor
had steroid shots 5 days before they were delivered
they were both perfectly healthy, but v. v. small:
baby a was 3 lbs 9 ounces
baby b was 3 lbs 1 ounce
27 days in the hospital

they grew LIKE CRAZY when i got them home. reached the unadjusted growth charts at the 1 month well visit
at the four months appointment, baby a was 85th percentile, baby b was 67th percentile
mind you, at this point, they were only two months gestational age!

their 6 months well visit is coming up, i have a feeling they'll be OFF the charts, in the TOO BIG direction

36 weeks

5lb4oz and 5lb 6oz
they came home with me.  

I went back to the Dr yesterday and they did another fetal fibronectin test and then a digital ultrasound to measure my cervix. My test came back negative (yay!!!) and my cervix is still measuring 3cm long still, so the bed rest has kept it the same. As of now I continue on bed rest and go back weekly to keep a check on everything. I'm already 20% effaced and only .5cm dilated, but Dr said that is fine.

ok guys now that there is more ppls chatting on here can i do a decent contest for u guys with more then 3 entries? lol
