re: PREGNANT WITH TWINS? (or more)

my benji smiled at me today while we were playing!!!! it was huge and i think it was because of what we were doing. gavin has done it for other people but not me yet but this is the first time benji has done it. i'm so excied

Thanks! Congrats to you too! My cervix never really shortened that much, it went from 3.6 to 2.2- that was a day before I had them, but I never got to the point that I was in labor since I had a c- section. i think my doc said they start to worry when it's under 2? I could be wrong though.

I am carrying identical girls..I am 32 weeks, I have had a high risk pregnancy so I am blessed with a specialist and a very conservative ob. I have been in the hospital since last Monday and will be here until I deliver which can be anytime from now til March 15th. The girls are little miracles. Baby girl B had a couple "d" cells Monday and they prepped me for the c section and wanted to wait to see if she would roll off her cord. Thank goodness she did. I have also had preeclampsia but it is practically gone, which my doctors are in shock about. They said there is no medical explanation so I know it was God's will and the power of prayer. I hope all the twin mommies out there will keep in touch because if anything dramatic happens it is so much easier to go through with a solid support group like BG mommies!!

wow well here is hoping for a safe healthy delivery when ever they come. i feel so blessed that my boys were so big and healthy. but best of luck to all you mommies

Your girls are so precious! It is funnyhow differently they can look. I can't wait til mine get here to see what their differences are.

i have heard that twins need to sleep in the same crib is that true? is it safe? i was thinking seperate cribs

I did not have mine sleep together. My son starting rolling over at one month and I just didn't like the idea of him in the crib with her. They stayed in bassinets for a while though. My daugther was on my side of the bed and my son on my husbands.He got too big for the bassinets at 2 months and went into his crib but my little girl was small so she stayed in our room till she was about 5 months old. Then she went to her own crib in her own room.
They would keep each other up so they also had different rooms as well.

The funny thing is now that they are four my daughter loves to sleep on his bottom bunk bed in his room. When I was seperated from my husband they were three and had to share a room and we never got any sleep. They would wake each other up and play all night long! Argh! I am so glad to be back at my house now!

That's good info. I was counting on them sleeping together. Thanks. Now I'll work on a Plan B just in case them being together doesn't work out for us.

my boys sleep in the same crib. they don't need to but my boys like it. its calming for them. think about it they share the same womb it is hard to not have that body near you. but i put them at opposite ends they still hear each other and see each other when they wake

Well at my ultrasound yesterday it was confirmed...they are both definitely both girls. Kinsley Reece and Kaelynn Tate are the names we have picked out. Both girls are weighing about 3 1/2 lbs. each now, whick I guess is good. I have anywhere between 4-8 weeks to go. They won't stop labor after 34 weeks and they won't let me go past 38 weeks so I hope they do some major growing in that time.
Oh... Baby A's heartbeat was 144 and Baby B's was 151

they grow fast don't worry. that was abou my boys wieght at that time and they were big when born (okay so i was 40 weeks) but they were over 4 lbs in no time

Thanks, I'm so worried about NICU time. You're an absolute trooper to go 40 weeks! I'm already counting down and I'm so glad I don't have to go past 38 lol.
