Misty.....the doctors name them different...the one who is delivering me names baby A my girl...the high risk doctor names baby A my boy...
Meya is high up ...and Marvin is low.....if anything I would think he should be baby A....but...lol
She is the more active one.....LOL

Casta...what names do you have so far?

Carina- Isn't it supposed to be the baby closest to the cervix is A? In that case, it seems like the baby who is up higher seems to be more active for all of us. I wonder if they have more room up top?

Well today is 23 weeks for me, it's getting closer!!

As for names we are considering:
Alexander Davis Duryea (his last name, I have to give up Queen   )
Alexa Dawn Duryea

Davis and Dawn are me and my twin's middle names. They can be Alex and Lexie for short.

So I just got back from my specialist ...

My OB made me an appt for today to have my cervix checked again. So a quick vaginal u/s showed that yes ... since last week it has gotten a liiittle shorter since the last check.

My husband and I sat down with the specialist and dicussed our options and today my spec. said he is concerned with the length that it is slowly shortening. He said I have 75% chance of preterm labor. He gave us the option of a cerclage which last week he said no to.

He told me and Dilon to talk it over and let him know our decision. So Monday I believe I will be calling him and telling him yes we're going to go ahead with it. So I have another appt with him this wed ... Itll actually be the full anatomy scan and checking the cervix AGAIN. And then the surgery will be set up for the following morning on Thursday.

I'm nervous but I'm really hoping that it will keep the babies in there for term. Full bedrest it is ... oy.

Oh Megs, I was hoping that you would have gotten better news. I will constantly praying that you keep those little boo boos in and that you mentally survive bed rest. You can do it! I am glad you are getting the circlage. I have read many success stories about it. Keep us posted!!

Seriously, we have nothing now in terms of names. I am fighting my husband for my memaw's name...Lidia. I only want it as a middle and he is fighting tooth and nail. Blah...so I am in such a name funk that I dont even talk about it with him. He says it can be her third name...so for now I am taking it but only b/c I am exhausted with the situation!!! LOL!!!!

Im sorry to hear about that your cervix is getting shorter...the cerclage sounds like a good idea!!
Im sure that will keep your baby boys in for longer!!

Thats what my husband said ... he said if it will put me at ease. So ... there are risks, but I feel like right now its the best choice. I'm nervous ... but I hope it helps!!!!!!

Megs-Sorry to hear your news, bedrest this early kinda stinks. You need to take up crocheting or some other horizontal hobby.
As far as the cerclage, I can't comment on the efficacy but I do assist in those at work. They're quick procedures and I've never seen any complications from them (at least in the OR).

Oh, and another benefit of my job, I get to help out with C-sections. Today we delivered a 6lb baby boy! Yesterday the parents were 17 and the guy shouts out when he sees the baby, "His balls are big like mine, honey!". LOL
