I'm so sorry about the NICU time,
it must be so hard to deal with  
but I had no idea boys do worse.

Thank you. They call it "wimpy white boy syndrome"...White boys do the worst, they just mature more slowly for some reason. It was really hard, because I wasn't expecting it. I thought they would stay with me, but they weren't ready yet. I think maybe my due date was wrong.

Girls do so much better! The Nicu staff said they'd rather see a 34 week girl than a 36 week boy!

Sounds like they are watching you pretty closely, so that's good!! I just had girls and they were born at 37 weeks and weighted 5.3 and 5.12, they went to the NICU because of their weight (they just wanted to make sure they were breathing well on their own and that they were regulating their own body temp.),they were released 10 hours later and went home with me. I wouldn't worry if they are measuring 5 lbs. Good luck, your little ones will be here soon!!!  

How do you momma's set up the feeding schedule for your twins? At night my twins want to eat one hour and then the next half hour the other one wants to eat and I feel as if I'm not getting enough rest. I'm just wondering how other momma's of multiple do it and are able to get rest any information would be very helpful.

I don't have them on a schedule, but when they were smaller, if one woke up to eat, I fed them both, because I knew it wouldn't be long. Now that they don't always wake up at night to eat, I just feed whoever wakes up.

See, that's what was supposed to happen with mine...But they were boys and they couldn't breath well enough...Then they wouldn't eat when they were breathing, they just wanted to sleep.

Yeah, they wanted to also make sure they'd eat, that was another thing. I've heard that boys do worse than girls even in singleton pregnancies. I actually think there's a section on it in What To Expect...

They would close their lips super tight if I tried to feed them...I guess because it was hard enough to breath without a nipple in their mouth.

Ugh!!!! Okay I just got a call from my doctors office to get told I failed my 3 hour blood glucose so now I get to see another specialist... I have 13 more weeks to go but I am already ready to evict my little bundles so they will quit causing havoc on my body... I go this Wednesday to see the diabetic doctor and then I have to go on Thursday to see the other specialist that is 3 hours away for the Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome which is stable and the girls are doing fine.
