re: PREGNANT WITH TWINS? (or more)

posted 5th Jul
That was my first response, is that I thought it only occurs in identical twins. She said it's much much more common in identicals, but it can happen in fraternals. As for the placenta(s), it starts just above the cervic on the front side and wraps all the way around to the top. There is a space where it appears thin, but we didn't see any separatation.

As for names, that battle has not been fought yet. We'll see

Thanks for the congrats everyone!

congratulations!!! I also am having a girl and boy and the girl is in Baby A position and boy in baby B position. Not to scare you, but as far as I know both of my babies are growing at almost the exact same rate. Or at least they were in June when I got my ultrasound and measurements. Hopefully your little girl will catch up or not fall too much further behind. I've read that girls can usually tend to be smaller when it's a b/g set of twins.

HA !! lol i wish my girl was smaller than the boy..lol she's 6 oz bigger than he is..and she's baby b..so much for a natural birth....both my babies are bad.. the nurses dread when i come in for a non stress test..lol it takes them an hour to get a good reading cause they move so much...and only for the stress test...lol

lol thats so cute! Although maybe not in the moment, you probably just want to go home. I haven't been given a test like that yet, not sure if I'll ever need it. I just had to switch doctors at 20weeks because I moved to a different city 3 hours away from my other one. Mine have been moving a lot this week, I feel little bumps and nudges everywhere! On the ultrasounds, the girl definitely moves more than the boy.

Hey ladies!
Went away for vacation
Im back!!! Wow there seems to be alot of us having b/g twins...how awesome is that!!

Misty...keep me updated on that....im sure they will stay on top of it! I had NO idea that could happen to frat twins........

My little boy is the most active in there....altho I told hubby...I think our princess is changing positions and making me think its our prince who is doing all the moving...she is probably not as quiet in there as I think she is.....little stinker...LOL
Hope everyone is doing well!!

at least the chair they have me sit in for the test is comfortable...the angle isn't real comfortable tho...i think the nurses get more restless than me tryin to pick up on a heartbeat! lol i didn't start the tests until about 30 weeks.

So far I've made it passed the point I miscarried ... which feels wonderful but I still have that anxious nervous feeling in the back of my mind. Buuut I feel like I can honestly say that I just feel better about this pregnancy.

My last u/s was the 1st and I feel very antsy to see or hear them agaian. I'm a wee passed 14 weeks and I'm still not really showing too much. Last u/s they measured just fine. I wasn't going to get an u/s this week, but I don't know I've gotten so used to having a bunch of them that its hard to go more than a week without seeing them bounce around!!!! I really should look into those dang doppler things! I would just like to start showing some more haha (i say this now) ...

The doppler is soooo worth the money! When you get a bit nervous...have a listen...and all your worries go away.....its really worth it!!

Geez! This page has EXPLODED! I get sick for a week and everyone starts posting like mad! Do I smell?
LMAO

Hope everyone is well. Sure are a lot of B/G twins coming! I think that is so awesome!
As for us...
We are thinning but not dialating so I'm hoping to get to at least 36 weeks! Would be nice. The NSTs are going well but I noticed someone else has a nurse who cringes too. LOL My little ones won't sit still so just when they get a good read on one, the other decides to move and they lose that one. It is a constant battle to get them at the same time but it is sure worth it to lay my head back and just listen to the sweet cacophony! (To the PP who wondered about the NSTs, I started mine at 32 weeks and they are pretty routine for twins at that time... I go twice a week. Tonight at 4:30 is my next!)

My doc has recommended that I scale back to part time at work, I guess it doesn't matter that I have a sedentary desk job. He wants me to lay down in the afternoons and "take it easy". I have two teenagers and a busy managerial position! I have NO CLUE what it is like to "take it easy"... LMAO I don't expect that to change any time soon either! ROTF

So I hope to get a chance to look back at some of the last few pages and catch up on everyone.
I see some new faces and to them WELCOME and CONGRATS!
To you other "old hats"- How the heck are ya's doin'? ;)
