I don't want to sound stupid but what is a co-op a and why would somebody use one to buy there diapers if there so much trouble

its a bunch of people going in together to place a large order to get wholesale prices so everyone gets their stuff at a steep discount.

But wouldn't that just cost more in shipping to get your small order out of the big order or is it done with local people? Sounds like a great idea but it looks like a few people have been having trouble with it

nah. you pay like $2-3 per diaper, so it's worth it.

how it works is that, they will open, let's say "Alva 10 co-op" (within that link above). Then you go to that file and there will be a link to a google doc spread sheet. You enter your info in there (there are pix in the photo albums to choose what you want) and it has everything itemized by price.

at the end of your order list, there is $3 co-op flat fee and then some paypal fees (usually $1-3, depending on how big your order is).

Then in a few weeks, that co-op closes and a big order is placed by "the host". ALL the diapers (or whatever the co-op was for) are sent from China (usually) to "the host". Then the host unpacks them and repacks them into specific orders of whatever each person ordered. Then she adds your shipping price to the google doc spreadsheet and you pay that (like $5 for a flat rate envelope with 8 diapers .. for example) and once you pay that, she send it to you.

It usually takes about 3-6 weeks from the time you order to the time you get your items. It might take longer (8-12 weeks .. etc) if there is a complication like something you ordered is out of stock or there is a price change or a holiday or whatever, but since you can get it so cheap, it's usually worth the wait.

I continue to use them because I've only ever actually had problems w/ 2 orders. & I've had a TON of orders, lol. Still cheaper than buying on the actual site.

it's worth it if you have a decent order. if you only order like 1-2 diapers then it might not be worth it.

I thought you weren't able to do jctrade with less than fifty per print? My stash is growing pretty quickly now lol
