blood clot next to gestational sac:

I went to the er for bleeding a week ago and the did an ultrasound. They found a blood clot that was the same size as the sac right next to it. My doc was kinda worried but wouldn't tell me much. But I'm scheduled to go in for a follow up ultrasound on tuesday to see the baby development and size and placement of the blood clot. Needless to say, I'm not doing too well managing my stress level. I've tried doing some research but all I have is my phone and its not getting me too far. Has this happened to anyone? Well, I know it has, but what was your outcome? Did it go away pretty quick or was it an ongoing thing for quite a while? Bleeding has stopped, and luckily there was no cramping. But I just want an idea of what's going on because my doctor hasn't really told me much.

Thank you. I'm not naive. I know bad things can happen I just want to know it all so I can prepare myself. The ultrasound is also to try and find the heartbeat again. I was only measuring 5 weeks 3 days and the tech thought he saw the flicker of the fetal heart pole but couldn't focus on it. I'm trying to stay calm and relaxed but I have a job I can't miss and a two and a half year old at home that has her mama's patience.  

I just wanted to let you know you are not alone and I have been through this before. I had a clot the same size as the sac and it was growing. The doctor was afraid it would suffocate the baby and I would miscarry. The first time they saw it was about 6-7 weeks. I bled and bled and was scared to death. They did ultrasounds every week until it went away. That baby is now going to be 17 this month.   I have also had placenta bleeds with every one of my pregnancies. I have had many miscarriages, but was diagnosed with a blood clotting disorder a couple of years ago, which they really believe is the reason I have had so many issues. I have four healthy children and am now pregnant with #5. Hang in there and try not to stress! I suggest complete pelvic rest - no intercourse, no orgasm, no lifting, just chillaxin' as much as possible until you go back to your next ultrasound. I'm surprised they didn't mention pelvic rest to you. Blessings!

I'm supposed to be off my feet as much as possible. I work in an office so I sit 80% of my work day. And my husband has been 18573829% amazing this last week. Hes been on harlee duty and tries to help me as much as he can while working 50+ hrs a week. I seriously think i have fallen more in love with him this last week for everything he has done for me and the baby.

Aw, that is wonderful! Well just keep doing what you're doing. Drink lots of fluids and try not to stress about it. You have amazing support and are very blessed!

Well, no heartbeat. So I have until Friday to decide what I want to do next.

My dr was pushing for the d&c right then and there. I had to tell him no a few times because I'm just in denial. But the baby grew, and was only off In size by three days. But I make small babies. But I wanted to discuss everything with dh, who couldn't get the time off yesterday to go with me. But my bleeding was never heavy. Never red, always dark brown. and i never had any cramping. So like I said, im just in denial.

I would be too. Dont do a d&c in my opinion. Wait for nature to take it's course IF it does. MAYBE he just couldnt find the heartbeat and i will next time. I am praying for you hun
