im thinkin about givin this baby up for adoption but im not sure how it works. i hear so many storys from the children talkin about i was adopted and they gave me away and i went to foster care. i don't want that for this baby. im still not even sure i want to give it up just a thought but before i consider it i would like to know more about how it works. does anyone know of adoption agencies in las vegas nevada?

Try www.parentprofiles.com and search Nevada. There are several couples there with approved home studies and they have their agencies listed. Good luck to you. It's a very tough choice. I will tell you that the vast majority of infants placed in open adoption situations do not end up in foster care. That scenario is really blown way out of proportion on this site. Hello girls! I am pregnant with #1, our daughter Ashlyn is due March 19th 2012. However, my boyfriend and I have decided that we'd like to begin the adoption process for a little boy right around the same time, because we know it takes a while. We want to have two babies around the same time, a boy and a girl, because we want to wait a long time before having any more. We've done a lot of thinking about this, so it's not up for discussion, honestly- all I want is support and information. Hope that's okay with everyone!

So your having a baby but are also wanting to adopt another baby?

Yes. That is our plan. We would like to start our family sooner rather than later, and find ourselves lucky to be in the position now to do so. I'm pretty good about researching and such, and being in foster care and adopted myself, I am well aware of the extra challenges and such.

I like to kind of look at it like this: some families are blessed with twins, and they somehow make it work- from zero to two- and I think we can do it.

I'm really just looking for people to talk to about it, and get the emotional support and maybe some resources regarding birth mothers& such. :]

What made you decide to adopt? How old is your daughter?

I have always wanted to adopt. Theres just so many kids out there that need a loving family, and we can give that to them. My daughter just turned 2 last month. Were hoping for a boy 3-5 years old.

That sounds kind of like our situation. That's exactly what we're wanting to provide for a baby .  

Im new here and wanted to say hello. My husband and I are doing Independent adoption. We have been advertising since March 2011. We have not found our BM yet but we are hopeful.

My husband and I have been trying to adopt since August 2010. We are signed with a reputable adoption attorney in Rogers, Arkansas that can help facilitate an adoption within the states. We know God has a plan for us AND the birth mother He will orchestrate into our lives. It has been most humbling putting myself out here on BG but it just takes one encounter....

I'm interested in adoption, we both would like a little girl. Also knowing my chances of getting a girl after having 2 boys and with hemmoraging after both births......adoption seems the safer route.

Any information I could get on the process of private adoption and foster care and costs would be appreciated!
