Yeah, I was thankfully that I brought wipes too because where I delivered my son they used washclothes too. No thanks!

I live in TN too! Which Hospital did you use?

I am in Northeast TN. I live in Johnson City, but I delivered in Elizabethon at Scyamore Shoals.

I brought a going home outfit in newborn size. 0-3 months is huge even if you have a 9lb baby. They are not filled out yet. Diapers, wipes, socks, onesie, hat, carseat, carseat cover, blanket and bottle with formula if you have a long drive home

For myself: underwear, nursing bra, slippers, socks, outfit to go home, toiletries. I brought sandels to go home in after my third and they did not fit- so slippers are great for swollen feet. A nightgown is option since it will get stuff on it at the hospital.

I just want to say thanks to all the moms who are helping us noobs. I hadn't the slightest idea what to pack in the hospital/diaper bag (I like to plan way ahead). I just knew I wanted my golden girls & fraggle rock DVDs to watch in the room, LOL. They knock me right out.

I had one of those fleece things for our carseat when we were taking the baby home... and they made us take it off!!!!! they said it was unsafe!!!! so then i went to put her snowsuit on her... stupid nurse said she couldn't wear it, that its "unsafe" too... so i put the baby in the car seat with nothing to keep her warm (since all my stuff was unsafe grrr) and the nurse yelled at me for not bringing blankets for her. argh.. stupid hospitals!

my hosptial rooms were VERY VERY hot though. They wouldn't let us turn the heat under 86 degrees. Mypoor husband was sweating his balls off haha. He turned the heat down to 80 and the nurse freaked out on him saying the baby would get cold.
