better than candy...

I started potty training my daughter recently and i've learned that she responds better to getting to use the Kandoo kids wipes better than giving her a piece of candy if she goes to the "Big Girl" potty. I told her that if she goes she can use her "special wipes" but if she doesnt she can use toilet paper to wipe with instead....so now everytime she goes she asks for a wipey and actually uses the potty. Its working so much better than candy as a reward because its something special she can do while learning to potty and she knows that mommy wont run out of those since we dont really keep sweets in the home its alot easier. just thought i'd share that with everyone.

Awww, thats awesome! I am really eager to start potty training Nathan, but have no idea how to start. He still wears onsies, so that makes it hard....plus I am nervous about teaching him how to pull his pants down.............I really want to have one child in diapers though, so I better investigate, lol.

My son loves the soap too, but hates rinsing it off because it's purple, haha.

I was at the store yesterday and this kid was telling his mom, "Nicole has the purple soap, can we have it?" And the mom was like, Nicoles mom buys whatever she wants and I don't, so no..........I was like damn, talk about a picky shopper, haha. She had a ton of coupons hanging out her purse.

yeah my daugters doing really well now that she isnt getting candy as a reward, not too mention i dont have to worry about her wanting more candy afterwards. shes hyper enough as it is.

No problem...i just think a child will do better if they have something fun to do while learing such as the wipes they learn that they can only use them when they go in the potty as with candy they can have that at any point in the day just because not because of going in the toilet but with the wipes they only get it at that one time and they learn that and its like their special treat for being a big kid.
