I retested this morning. Barely visible. DH couldn't see it. I'm guessing chemical.

It's okay. The last two days have been hard because I was so freaking excited, but I think I got my hopes up too soon. It just sucks because this is a hard time anyway since last Thanksgiving we told my parents I was pregnant, then it ended up being ectopic, so it's just a hard time of year for me anyway. I'm doing okay today though. We just started TTC so I know it will happen. I just need to stay positive.

So, I have a theory... You know how if you get a pregnancy blood test at a clinic they don't consider 5 and under positive? Well I think that's because some women have a certain amount of hCG in their system ANYWAY. I mean, it's a hormone. We can't expect it to be at 0 ALL the time. It has to fluctuate a little like other hormones. Even the FRER box says 4 out of 100 women over age 45 tested falsely positive because of fluctuation in hormones. I honestly think the problem with FRER and the reason a lot of the tests are showing this faint, shadowy line is because they're TOO sensitive. I've had FRER pick up with a pretty decent faint line at 6mIU, so honestly, someone could get a shadowy line at 4 or 5 mIU which would be "not pregnant".

I really think in my case my level never went completely down from my ectopic and the test is picking up on that. I think it probably fluctuates depending on the time of the month and THAT'S what FRER picked up. It never got darker than what I saw at 6mIU when I was testing myself down after the ectopic. I bet it's just picking up that. From now on I'll need to wait until I'm "late" to test I think, so I don't see that faint line and have to go through this month after month.

Its a good therory.. I mean how many FRER have people gotten lately with super faint faintlines? But were obvious? Idk

With this pregnancy I got a faint bfp and my level was 7. I was shocked it was as dark as it was being so low in numbers. I think sometimes it's a good thing to kow spear ly, in my case I have to have progesterone to continue my pregnancies but finding out so early can result in knowing about a chemical that you may not have even known about had you not tested so early. So me I'd rather know then not. I really hope you get your bfp soon!

My body clearly hates me... Now I'm getting cramps, so if this IS a chemical I wish AF would just show her face so I can get this over with and start fresh... ugh.
