re: I want an abortion but I don't? Help????

Quoting inevitabledisaster18:" thanks I know I can I guess it's more of a worry if I'll have enough stregnth to go through it."

good luck with your decision. there's plenty of single moms who raise their child(ren) on their own without help or support from their parents and you could do it if you choose parenting. You find a way to make things work! If the one night stand turns out to be the father i believe there are benefits you can receive for some financial support if the father is deceased.

Not necessarily... So don't make any hasty decisions based on skin tone when the time comes (if the time comes).

Abortion is a permanent decision there is no going back, there is a big chance you could regret it. Plenty of mums who struggle finnacially successfully raise children. If you have doubt about going through with it think about it a little longer u ntil you are 100 % sure that it is the right decision for you.

People throw around the word ' abortion ' so lightly!
THAT IS NOT YOUR ONLY OPTION.
I can assure, it will be very hard 10 years down the road thinking back on having an abortion. however, it is your choice to make - NOT mine. Good luck with it all! i hope everything goes smoothly

It's potentially because you're in the Abortion Survivors forum... and its totally fine to get an abortion if thats what you want to do.

I never said it wasn't "fine."

I was simply making a statement.

I was drawing your attention to what forum you were in because there are different rules in this forum, than in others regarding voicing your opinion on abortion. You can believe what you want, I'm just giving you a heads up not to get all preachy and anti-abortion because you're in AS and you will likely be modded.

Quoting ma ♥:" Oh gosh   Idk where I got 12 weeks then... oops."
I know here in the state of Alaska its 14 weeks. However it depends on the state. Some still do partial birth abortions and go up to the third trimester. Others only do abortions in the first trimester.

To the OP: Do what you feel is right. If you want the baby, I would suggest not going threw it. I got a abortion because of financial reasons. An to this day, I still regret it. It does a toll on your mental health, when you are unsure. There are programs to help you with the financial aspect of raising a child.

Yeah, either way, you can never completely count on the man to stick around. They can be funny like that. Also, you'd be surprised how supportive parents can be once the LO gets here. I didn't think I would be able to take care of my son either, when I was pregnant, but now he's 12yo, n we've come a long way! It's amazing how God steps in n takes care of things in ways you could never imagine. Either way, I don't know your entire situation, so if you know in your heart you couldn't do it, then you need to hurry up n make up your mind before it's too late. Or you could, of course consider adoption. Good luck and God bless!

yeah no matter who the dad is, its still your baby. thats a tough decision. i would seriously look into adoption even though itd be hard to give up your own baby. you could make some family out there who can't have a baby happy to have yours. plus you could do open adoption.
