maybe a loss maybe not? PLZ HELP

I posted an announcement a week or so ago. About having severe cramping, they said that it could be anything. The tests all came back normal. no ectoic, no cists, no appendcitis, nothing that would explain the pain. I had no bleeding or spotting but was told i was miscarrying. I asked how that could be? the doctors couldnt give me an explaination. I woke up yesterday morning with spotting. but there were alot of clots as it got heavier. so i guess they were right, i was miscarrying. But a friend went through the same things as me and bled but still had a healthy baby. My follow-up apt is monday morning. Should i be hopeful or expect the worse? this was my first pregnancy and i am already heartbroken.

awww... sorry to hear that. u can have spotting during your pregnancy and still have a healthy child. i had my daughter like that. but you mentioned clotting, then unfortunately it does sound like a miscarriage. i think you should go to the dtr on tomorrow and go from there. Last month I was in the same boat as you at about the same time. I've heard of lots of cases of women bleeding during early pregnancy, and around half of those who do bleed end up having healthy pregnancies. I've also heard that miscarrying a first pregnancy is quite common (as it was for me & my aunt). Obviously I'm not a doctor so I can't tell you exactly what happened, so I'll be praying that you'll be given good news on Monday
Don't lose hope if it turns out you have miscarried though. Take all the time you need to recover & don't lose hope. I was pregnant again within two weeks of my miscarriage, & I know several people in the same situation who took their next baby to term without any complications.

when I had mine it felt like cramps at first then light bleeding when i wiped, after I saw the doctor she saw brownish discharge which I think is old blood? and after that the cramping got worse and my stomach felt like it was burning inside, then everything came out
I hope that it's not a miscarriage for you, I would say to just get lots of rest and stay off your feet.

I have had a sono done and everything on it looked fine according to the OB when the bleeding started though there was no brownish tint or "old blood" no abnormal discharge just clotting like a period.

I miscarried my first just found out on Feb 11th, I had absolutley no signs of a miscarriage, just went to my first ultraound expecting to see a baby and there was nothing there so I had to have a D&C. If you want you can read my post on a blighted ovum, its a pretty common form of miscarriage within the first trimester, I have been told. That is what happened to me.
I know its hard when you see your future gone just like that. Me and my husband planned ours and it was rough. We haven't been able to try again yet because I had a complication from my first D&C, but it sounds like if you are having a mc than your body is doing it naturally. Good luck and let us know what happens!

You know I can't imagine going through that but as a few of these other women are saying "everything happens for a reason"
If you do miscarry then something was wrong. There was a problem with the baby and or you which could have been a lot worse on both of you if you did go full term. It's hard to see it but there is a LITTLE silver lining.
And you and your husband can alwasy try again now that you know this is something you want. I've heard that after 3 months of having a miscarriage you are more likely to have another so I would just recommend being patient to try again, it could be for the better.
Good luck and always know you have plenty of people to talk to here.

After the Doctors this morning: I had to give another blood test to check and make sure my cHG levels were dropping to confirm the miscarriage. The doc said that the way things are going right now I seem to be having a "natural miscarriage" but depending on the results from the test will determine whether or not i have to get a D&C. this is the part I hate so much is the waiting for the results. I'll let everyone know....

I know exactley what you mean. I went in for my 10 week ultrasound at almost 11 weeks and there was nothing there. The Dr seen an empty sac but I couldnt even see that. He told me to get my blood drawn that day and then come back in two days to get it drawn again and then get my final ultrasound 3 days after the first ultrasound to confirm that I did have a miscarriage. I hated the waiting. I just wanted to know, I just wanted to get it over with. So when I had that last ultrasound and my blood work came back my levels went from 28,000 to 23,000 in just two days and then still nothing on the u/s. So he scheduled the D&C the very next day because I didn't want to wait. He told me that my baby probably never started growing at all and so it happened very early, yet I went another almost 2 months and my body still had no signs of it. So I decided on the D&C because I didn't want to wait anymore.
