Weight issues.

Hey all. I'm almost 20 weeks along and recently went to go see my WIC-appointed nutritionist. I was 135 at the start of my pregnancy and keep gaining and relosing the same pound when according to the nutritionist I should be up to 8-9 lbs heavier. The doctor assures me the baby is healthy and everything but to "keep an eye" on my weight. Has anyone else had this issue and what did you do to change it? I'm taking my prenatals, eating about 4 meals a day, haven't had morning sickness in probably about 2 months. I just don't get it. If I wasn't pregnant, I swear I'd have no issue putting more meat on my bones lol. I had issues with putting weight on with my first baby but never quite to this extent.

your fine i lost 11 pounds in the first 8 weeks of my pregnancy , and i feltso bad becuase i thought my baby was not getting what he needed, and its not like i did not try to gain weight ( like you) i tok my vitiams, ate enought, and more even if i was not hungry.. then at my 20 week doctors apt, i had only gained 2 pounds since my last visit , ( same as you kept dropping and gaining weight)
Now i am between 30-32 weeks(my doctors think diffrenetly on how far along he is, which is so annoying) And i have Gained 18 pounds my whole pregnancy ..took some time for my body to get used to being pregnant , and my hormones finally balanced them self out,,you will be fine..concider us lucky girls

Thanks so much man. It really does ease the nerves hearing that. I guess one way to look at it is this is God making up for me gaining over 50lbs with my first lol.

Ahhh I hate wic sometimes I swear. They tried telling me my son was too skiny and the last time I went they said he was growing to fast and he's too long for his age. If your doctor thinks you're fine and your baby is fine..YOU'RE FINE. Seriously wic can be so stupid sometimes!

I heard that WIC needs to find "issues" so that they can justify giving it to you? I dunno if that's true, but I think that they don't only want to base it off of income...they want some type of justification.

Listen to your dr! I lost all the weight I had gained, and actually reached belowe my pre preggo weight! ( i was 135 when i got pregnant, dropped to 129). That was when I was almost 8 months prego. Then I gained 60lbs the last part of my pregnancy! As long as your dr says your good, take his word, not lame ass wic!
