Quoting chub-a-lubz:“ congrats! any pics yet? wat were you facing?”
I have a ton of pictures but I can't figure out how to post them??? Any advice on that?
I had been in preterm labor since 31 weeks. I had high blood pressure and was very anemic. I started spilling protein in my urine the day I delivered. He was my third c-section and I was having very unusual pain near my incision. The nurses kept telling me it was norml but I knew it wasn't. After my contractions became less than two minutes apart they finally called the doctor and we began delivery. It took a long time for them to even get to mu uterus because of all the previous scar tissue and when they finally did, the found a hole the size of a golf ball in my uterus. I was bleeding heavily and they couldn't get the baby out because, aain, of all the scarring. They had to cauterize the holebefore he was born and they "accidentally" burnt his tiny little nose and his left ear. They finally were able to get hime free buthis face was pulled against my pubic bone and he enden up with a black eye, bruised nose and upper lip :+(. His right arm was temporarily paralyzed due to overstretching his nerve when they yanked him. My incision ended up being fromhip bone to hip bone and the recovery from this csection was so much more painful than I've had before. I can't complain after seeing what theydid to my poor baby.
The first 12 hours were scary for him because every time he ate hisrespirations increased to 100 (under 50 is normal). So they fedvia tube for12 hours so his lungs and heart could rest. They were talking about sending him to the NICU but as soon as they said that he completelyturned around. His arm began to move, he ate all on his own and was even able to breast feed! Within 24 hours his black eye was almost comletely gone and the bruising across his nose was almost gone. His burn is still there but they don't think it will scar, it only looks like a little scrape.
I can't believe how fast things can change from bad to worseand from awful to amazing. My little guy gave me a couple of scares but he's doing fantastic now!
