re: *OFFICIAL THREAD* Moms with 4+ kids
posted 2nd Aug '12
Hey ladies, I haven't posted in forever it seems like. Last I posted, my hubby was still in Mexico, we went to visit him December 19 and we arrived home as a FAMILY on January 1! It was a relief to have him home!
We just arrived back from visiting his family in Mexico 2 weeks ago. Seems as tho we gained a little something. I forgot my bc (shame on me) and we were not careful 2 time....apparently 1 of those times I got knocked up so we are expecting number 6 in April! I haven't announced it on fb or most of my family yet. Only my mom and my sister in law knows. My sister went through a horrible miscarriage while I was in Mexico so I don't want to tell her for a while to let her heal. My dr also gave me the heads up that I may be carrying twins (which is what my sister miscarried :-( ) Only because my Hcg level more than tripled in 48 hours. I would gladly welcome twins, but I'm hoping it's just my hormone levels catching up!!!!! Hope you all are doing well.
For all the people who joined this thread in the last 6 months, I have 5 kids, ages almost 10, 8, 5, 3, (all boys) and my baby girl just turned 1 on July 1.

Hi ladies I found out that we are having another boy... funny thing is, even though I really wanted a girl (I just have one girl and four boys-my fiance has one girl and one boy) I think I just kind of figured it would be a boy all along. I just really cant imagine having a baby girl again!

I am pregnant with my fourth and I will probably have more! There are so many great things about having a big family that out weigh the money issues or anything else negative!

Congrats to all the new members! And WELCOME

Congrats! I have 4 boys and 1 girl also....I feel like this time I would be ok with either, but it would be nice for my daughter to have a sister.

We cook the same since I always cooked a lot (but I do spend $200 a week on groceries and cannot knock the price down even though I use coupons)
Christmas...definitely more of a challenge, so we plan months in advance.
Easter...we pay for with income tax returns
Clothes...I buy from ebay, oldnavy<dot>com. I usually try only buying what is on sale and then spending a certain amount to get free shipping.
diapers...potty trained my 2nd before my 3rd was born. My 3rd and 4th wear the same size diaper, so that helps.
Hubby goes to school so that we have the extra money from the GI Bill, so there is $1,300 extra going into our account every month on top of the fact I get child support for my oldest 2 (which really almost accounts for nothing since my husband pays child support for 3 kids).
It definitely gets easier after 3. I just dont want any more. 4 is enough.

Hello ladies, kind of re-introducing myself to the site since I've been gone for quite a bit, anyways, a little about me, I'm 24 years old, have been married for almost 5 years to my high school sweetheart (well, so to speak...), however we have been separated for the past year now. I have two gorgeous children, my son (whom is adopted) is 7, and my daughter who lives with me, is 4. She is my sunshine, and seeing how happy and loved my son is, fills me with joy as well.
I'm human, I make mistakes, bad decisions, curse like a sailor, but I'll be the best mother possible, and the best friend you could ask for. I live in Virginia Beach right now with my best friend Jeanna and her husband and son, who is 3.
I have a very stressful family, but I would do anything for them! I love to cook, go to the beach, spend time with friends, go out to eat, work, drive, travel...pretty much try anything once, and I won't be voting for either of the candidates this year. Not that I don't appreciate my ability to vote, but because I do not thoroughly agree with any of the candidates.
Anyways, I'm on here looking for friends, advice, recipes, ideas, and to vent and just goof off. Feel free to message me!!

i have 5 and my 6th anyday now. plus my BF has 3 so we r gonna be a family of 11 all together. it is rough and gets complicated at times but i would not change any part of my life right now . we all are excited about the new addition even the kids which r the ages of 21, 19, 15, 15, 10,9, 5 and 4 . i try and keep lots of crafts and activities for the smaller ones but the bigger ones that r not of age are into football and things so it pretty much is just maybe 3 to 4 of them that we have to find things to do . i like spending alot of time with them and doing family stuff at home dont gotta be anything expencieve as long as they like it

I didn't know there was thread for this. Hi I'm Anja . I have 4 kids (2 bio 2 step) planning to have the 5th one soon-ish (getting my IUD out on November 16th and will be ttc shortly after if nothing's wrong) . My biological daughters are 15 months and 13 years old. I have a 3 year old step-son and a 7 year old step-daughter as well. It's a bit crazy but I still love all of them . Baby 5 will be the last though and I'm having them sooner than I planned to because I want to do something about my periods and the only treatment my doctor has left is ablation and that requires not wanting anymore kids. I don't feel like there's much of any financial issues or any issues in general despite being a SAHM. My husband makes a lot of money and I will be eventually going to work sometime after baby 5 is born and I made a high income at the company I worked for (if I can go back to there it'd be great, but if not I'm sure I'll still make a very good income based on my education and experience) . It's very busy but at least there's school buses and summer camp to make my life a little less chaotic at times.
