D & C recovery???

I am 38 years old and I am 8 weeks pregnant. Last Thursday I started spotting (brown blood), now it is everytime I go to the bathroom...I went to the doctor and they took my HCG levels and I go back tomorrow for more blood work and Tuesday for an ultrasound. Last U/S at 6 wksshowed no heartbeat but they said it might be too early. I feel that I have miscarried, but have not had any symptons other than spotting...so I am waiting to see what the dr says tomorrow and my question is if I have miscarried and need a D&C, how long is recovery time?

Iwas up and moving the next day the d&c is really not that bad it hurts more that you relize you lost your child.

since you aren't very far along you probably won't even need a D & C but hopefully the baby's doing fine.

I didn't have any symptoms of miscarrying, i didn't even have any spotting. The doctor couldn't find a heartbeat. I had to have two D&C's because the first one didn't get everything out. I was in horrible pain for the first one because i was having bad contractions. But after the second one i was fine. After a day i was walking around feeling much better. Physically i've recovered but mentally i still miss my baby. I hope everything goes well for you!

i had a d&c after i lost my baby that was supossed to be 11 weeks and stoped growing at 5 weeks 4 days. i also had a d&c after my chemical pregnancy, and i was up moving around the next day, and i was able to carry my next to term well past term she was 41 weeks and 2 days
