Prenatal Vitamins. Help!

I have been taking the same viatmins since I found out I was pregnant. But now 20 mintues after I take then I vomit them back up. Does anyone know of something else I can take that has the right amount of vitamins and minerals. I am so tired of vomiting up my pills.   Any suggestions would be great, Thanks.

Take them at night. If I try to take mine in the morning or afternoon they don't agree with my tummy either.

Try flinstones.   As long as you are getting 800mcg of folic acid a day you are ok!

Have you tried switching brands? Or taking them right before bed? A lot of people will recommend Flinstones vitamins, but they don't have enough vitamins and you'd need a supplement of folic acid. Good Luck!

The exact same thing happened to me when I would take them...I've just learned to take them right before I go to bed, like I'm literally in bed when I take them! lol...I don't get sick anymore, so maybe try that?

try taking them at night before you go to bed. thats what i had to start doing. i used to take them in the morning but they started making me feel sick

I take mine around dinner, and either with milk, or if milk isn't agreeing with you right now, drink a full glass of water. That always helped me!

Erika, also, some brands have you take one pill in the morning and one at night. I came across one, but I cant remember the name. They worked wonders for me because I had the same problem AND I had a very hard time swallowing the larger ones.

i have to take 2 flinestone vitamins a day, one morning and one at night because both the perscription and OTC makes me SICK!

try the flinestones my dr is the one that told me to take them, oh and i am 18 weeks pregg!

Usually its the Iron that makes people sick... You can get some without iron that would be easier on your tummy

Some people may say Flintstone Vitas arent enough Vitas but, if you take 2 a day they actually are. They have your basic Vita's that you need.. Prentals have fish oil and other stuff that makes your nails grow alot and hair and if you want all that stuff then stick with taking your prenatals at night time. Personally, I bite my nails lol BAD HABIT and this pregnancy period makes my hair grow off the wall so I just take the Flintstones.. Plus, they taste so yummy I want to eat them all at once!

yup take 2 and you will get what you need besides the fish oils   and they DON'T make you sick at all, well atleast not me.  

And they taste much better than those stinky make you sick prenatals lol.

I had the same problem, and when I talked to my doctor about it she said to try taking them at night, and I still couldn't hold them down, and on top of that they made me restless. After trying them at all different times in the day and on a full stomach then on an empty stomach with nothing helping, she finally just said to stop! She said there is no point to taking them if I'm going to throw them up right away! I started taking some normal vitamins and drinking a ton of juice and everything is perfect! Sorry I'm not much help!

well i haved the same problem i couldnt take the pills in the begin of my pregnancy. i tryed every lil thing different with milk o no milk. full stomach ,empty stomach day night and nothing. then i told the doc and she gave me different kind of pills they are called precare premier tablets. and ever since the 4th of this month i feel good and nomore headaches cause i well get them everyday and tylenol wont work and the moring sickness. so ask ur doc if they have something different for u.
