help me!!!!

my 11 day old sleeps fine through the day i put her to sleep lay her down and she sleeps fine but after about 9 at night the only place she will sleep is my arms i've tried puttin her in the bassinet(sp) the swing the bed but everytime she wakes up.... but i can get up and move all around the house with her in my arms and she's fast asleep what am i doing wrong??? and what can i do to fix it?? last night i had to sleep in my recliner with her in my arms...she slept fine i didnt at all if you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated -Keleigh

Maybe you could get her one of those teddy bears that makes the 'in the womb' noises.. They kinda creep me out, but it would probably make her feel more comfortable. She just likes being close and hearing your heartbeat. ^.^ Youre her mommy, she loves you. xP

Maybe try putting her in the boppy in the crib so she feels like something is surrounding her. You could also try putting a piece of clothing in with her so she smells you.

One thing I've found to be very important is to put my son down BEFORE he falls asleep. He gets tired and if I put him down before he actually falls asleep, he's still tired. If I continue to hold him while he sleeps, then he gets a mini nap in before I try to put him in his crib and he's energized and ready to stay up for longer.

maybe co-sleeping. IDK if you are for it but, when my son was 5 months old he decided that he had had enough of his crib and was not going to sleep in it no matter how long mommy left him there (I tried to let him cry it out one night and after3 hours of doing everything I gave up) He coslept with us until he was 21 months and honestly, it was the best thing for us. We love the bed...weekends are hard because no one wants to get out and do stuff. we always gather in bed and just relax. read, play board games etc. I am SO happy we decided to do it because we got all the extra cuddles and love when other wise he'd be by himself.

kaylee has been in bed with me since like she turned two weeks one night i fell asleep with her on top of me because she would sleep for not even five min. and scream and now she sleeps the whole night threw. i love it , it works out for us great.

i know and it's so sweet but i dont wanna sleep in the recliner for the rest of my life and i want her to be comfterble here no matter where she sleeps i feel so sorry for her when i lay her down and she cries i know she just wants to be close to me but she sleeps right next to me in the bed i just want her to be able to sleep and me be able to sleep that way i can enjoy her through the day

does she get a bath or something every night? I know they say you shouldn't bathe a baby every night but, some really enjoy it. they also have that night time stuff you put in the water to help them relax.

When Elliot was wound up really tight we'd play music. I think he's going to be in a rock band because, the sure fire shot to knock him out was Foo Fighters. IDK but, we'd play a video off of youtube and he's pass right out.

Well if she sleeps in her car seat when your go out, maybe try putting her in her car seat. Thats what we did, now he sleeps in it all the time. Of course we cant really break him of it, (just now he has been sleeping in his swing too yay!) but it saves us from having to hold him 24/7. The bad thing is, sometimes he wants his car seat more then us now.
