A being a dog owner is like being a parent. A child is a reflection of it's parents. As a dog it a reflection of it' owner.
Kids in daycare bite other children, spit, scratch, punch and kick other kids. Why? their behavior hasn't been corrected , so it will continue.
If you don't discipline your child, that kid will be a nightmare.
same goes for a dog, you have to correct it when it does bad things, reward him for the good things, and teach him right from wrong.
If you dont think raising a puppy, is anywhere like being a parent... i strongly advise some to get a puppy. you will see the NEED they have.

bad dogs come from bad behavior . bad behavior comes from bad owners. bad owners shouldnt own dogs.

no something is wrong when she calls people ignorant because they are cautious, and i left a thread just now because she called my friends baby ugly... i am not ignorant! my 6lb dog was attacked by my friends dog, what would have happened if my 6 year old tried to get in the middle of him and his food? his jaw would be ripped off!

Look I don't want to get in nobody's business. But it's one thing to have little "quarrels" with eachother. And another to bring in somebody's child. THat's a big no no in my book. If ur gonna beef... beef with eachother. GOSH!

Chopper was his name when i got him, because The puppies' owner flies helicopters for a living. And since he was the runt, he named him Chopper.
had nothing to do with his breed.
I figured since his training already started... he was already accustomed to being called Chopper...so I kept it.

In the other post it was put to me that a pit attacking a dog(actually over there it was a cow)and attacking a person is different. Just because they attack animals, dosn't mean they aren't good with kids.

i realize that but i wouldnt chance it, because the what if's arent worth it to me, i do believe the pitt was just trying to eat but bollom line is; my house, my dogs food, my kids live there, i wont risk my babies for the sake of an animal!

ignorance: the lack of knowledge or education.
Which goes back to me saying, people point fingers at the breed, without KNOWING the breed.
know the breed. dont judge the breed.
and this thread is about pitbulls. in which i can give reference because I own two, myself, with children around them on a daily basis. as well as the elderly....and sometimes other dogs.

what i post in other threads has nothing to do with this topic. really.

i wont let my kid near any dogs b/c i hate dogs   lol. and thankfully, no one i know has dogs.
