I have a pitbull named Diva and had a jack russell terrier (keyword had) Once my daughter was born we realized that Jack had to go, we were lucky enough to have relatives adopt him since I still loved him and wanted to make sure he had a good home. Our pitbull Diva is such a doll with Daniella. She snuggles up to her and lets her do anything to her (pinching, hitting, pulling) She's a well tempered dog and I trust her completly , if not she would of been out the door with Jack. Both dogs were raised the same and yet our big "scary" pittbull ended up being the better dog with a newborn. I think it's a shame the bad rep they have. I live in Ontario and they are actually banned here, it's a stupid law. An entire breed should not be discrimanted against because of a few bad apples, if that's the case than all dogs would be considered dangerous.

I have heard a lot of similar stories from people I know, and then, I see a pattern in the same situations with people on here.
People who have both pitbulls (or a large breed dog) AND small dogs.....always have proplems with the small dog..especially when it comes to jealousy and introducing a new member to the family. Or, the small dog is just the more aggressive one out of the two.
Hmmmmmm.....
Pitbulls would protect and love a child ( even a baby) and it's owner, also learn to be the same way around other children, people and environments....wayyyy faster than it would attack and be UNsafe and dangerous.
Chopper, my pit puppy, LOVES kids, especially now that I can't play with him as much because he so heavy (80lbs), so I give him activities...his favorite, playing with other children (and their dogs sometimes)!
Why are small dogs seemed to be soooooo much more agressive than the "Killer Attacker Dangerous PITBULL"......?  small dog seems like they're more of a "dangerous" dog.

that was lame. almost at lame as the thought of not letting pitbulls around ur children because every last one of em' is a threat to children and society and i sooooo dangerous.
