Anybody take Biaxin while pregnant??

So I went to the dr and I have a bad case of bronchitis. I'm allergic to penicillin so that's out... my dr prescribed Biaxin but I did a bit of internet research and have scared myself with the possible effects on my baby. I'm 23 weeks pg so I'm well out of my first trimester ... sooo ... anybody out there have to take it or a similar antibiotic? (it's a class C antibiotic).

I've taken it pre-pregnancy, I'm allergic to penicillin too. I don't have an answer, but surely your doctor wouldn't prescribe something that might be dangerous?

well... it's a class C ... so it's been tested on animals and there are POSSIBLE fetal side effects ... but then other studies don't show any effects ... there haven't been sufficient testing on humans to know for sure...

I would stop taking it and call my doctor. Ask him/her if there is something safer you could take.
