i'm the mother of 3 wonderful children. but i'm wanting another child but can't have anymore because my body can't handle being pregnant. i had problems delivering my son and the doctor told my husband if i was to have another baby i possibly would not make it through the delivery. so i had my tubes tied. i want another baby more than anything in this world. i've looked into adoption but it seem like you got to be to have a ton of money to adopt. is there any one who has adopted before that could give my husband and i any suggesstions that we have over looked? i've looked all over the internet but everything cost so much money. i'm not sure were elese to look. i would so appreacite any suggestions. thank you

I have never went through the adoption process, although my husband and I do plan on adopting one day -- I do know, however, that there are organizations that will help with the funds to adopt. Have you looked into any of those? You could always talk to agencies and see if there is anything they do to help. Good luck if you two decide to pursue adopting a child -- that's an amazing thing to do!

ive never adopted before but what about becoming a Foster Parent. I know here in California they have programs where you can become a foster parent with the option to adopt. It is probably a longer process butmaybe that will help. You probably have to pay for the classes which here isnt that much. I wish you luck.

look into the local social serivce dept. I know that back home they post children who need homes and what not , and the state helps you through the process , both mentally and financially im pretty sure ... good luck with everything

I'm not sure, like one person said there are programs that will help with adoptions financially, some employers will help with costs to an extent too. My husband and I really really want to adopt our fourth child

I know that state adoptions are alot more affordable then ones through private agencies. If you want to adopt a baby it will be a longer proccess and alot more expensive, however if you adopt an older child or one with a special need (anything from asthema to major handicaps) you can at times be reinbersed (sp?) for any fees that you have. Another benefit of adopting though the state is that they will have state health care and they can go to college tuition free in the state that they were placed in.
