Ok so i thought id TRY and do it naturally without drugs but my epideral totally messed up, which caused me to have a fever and my daughters heart rate to go up and me to stop dialating..
I didnt know at the time that it had something to do with the epideral until a month later when i read about it and those were the risks exactly..the thing is i was over due by 8 DAYS..and when she was finally born (csection) the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck twice so i hate to think what would have happened if the epidural hadnt messed up and if i hadnt gotten the csection.
& by messed up i mean messed..it was horrible  i was numb up to my neck so my chest felt numb and my hands were tingling..it was SCARY! i hated it..
Im sixteen but i was 15 when my daughter was born
Hannah Rose was born on Oct.12 weighing 8lbs 13oz 53.5 which is 21"?
She was fine..healthy..they took her straight to NICU though.

They thought she had an infection or something of some sort because her heart rate went up and I had a fever when i was in labour, so they gave her antibiotics 3 times a day for 2 days...she was in NICU for the first night the second night she roomed in with me...the nurses told me she was the biggest baby there

We spent 5 nights in the hospital (Hannah was able to leave the second day but i wasnt)

I decided to get an epideral last minute about 12 hrs into labor i hadn't planned on one..so i asked for one and they told me the anesthesiologist would not be down for another 2 hours so i ALMOST changed my mind when he walked in a few minutes later..
I had this feeling something wasnt right thesecond the needle went in.

I also breastfeed shes 4 months now i didn't find it hard at all even after acsection..when she was in NICU they took me to feed her every four hours but we had to wake her to eat she didnt cry as much or wasnt as alert b.c of the drugs.
I worried alot but after my milk came in she cried alot morebecause she got gassy

I thought Id share this, I've been wanting to but i wasnt looking forward to writing it.

I had two epidurals for our son's birth on 1/31/08 and the only thing both did was numb my legs. Three days after giving birth, I had the most horrible sinus headache I'd ever had. Basically, my childbirthing process was medicine free, being the Epidurals didn't work and I'd rather have that pain, along with my extreme tearing (it took a team of two surgeons a half hour to sew me back up and they were actually arguing as to which way they were going to sew) than the headache I felt. It was terrible and it was 3 days of non-stop pain at that. Well, it turns out that because my 2nd Epidural leaked, spinal fluid leaked as well.

I wish my doctor would have told me that this might happen - I could have taken all precautions possible to prevent this.

Hey momma! I was wondering how you had been! Yikes!! I SOOO hope that you are feeling better now!!

Are you two trying to scare the other mommies with your horror stories?! JK Apparently, I got lucky because my epidural and my son's birth went perfect. I can only hope that it goes half as well this time around!

I'm just trying to make women aware of this issue so that if it happens, they know what to do.

I'm ok now, though, although I am still in pain "down there" because of all the ripping that happened. I think it feels worse everyday, although my doctor swears it's because I'm healing????? I don't get that.

But our son was/is completely healthy and was just circumcized yesturday, and it doing ok....I cried so much and all he did was "eh".....he never even cried.....

wow, I commend you for actually breastfeeding and wanting to go natural while being so young. I know alot esepcially young mums dont like to breastfeed, but its great that you did. Im planning to breastfeed also, and Im also hoping that I will go natural, but if the pain is unbearable, then I think why have the pain, when medicine is easily given.

But I guess I will see...

Amina_21: THanks i know soo many young mothers who dont breastfeed i LOVE it, its easy and inexpensive i thought since i am under my moms care that id help her out in that way. also she breastfed her 4 children my little sister until 3 or 4?..lol

I signed something I think but in all honesty, I don't really know because I was in so much pain at that point. I basically signed a bunch of things and it's possible that was one of them. Doctors, of all people, should know to at least go over possible risks and antedotes for certain ailments associated with Epidurals.

REBEL/FutureChicagoCubsMoms- I know yall were! I was just kidding! Although, if I hadn't already been through it myself, I would probably be freaking out! LOL!

FutureChicagoCubMom- Your son is a cutie! I knew that he would be though! hehe! As for the pain, I did tear and had to be sewn up too. I had a third degree tear and have a number of stiches. The pain wasn't too bad at first, but after about a two weeks it did get worse. My OB said the same thing about the healing. My goodies felted "normal" by about the four week, it looked "back to normal" at abour 6 weeks, but sex wasn't comfortable until about 8 weeks. Rambling...

Of course I had NO sex drive during the entire duration of my pregnancy, but now that I have to wait, my sex drive is out of the roof! Just my luck.....

Yeah, the thing is that my tear was where my clitoris is and most women tear a lot lower, to say the least.I didn't hurt until the next day in the hospital, but it really gotten a lot worse as far as the pain is concerned in the last couple of days. So I guess we have the same timing because our son will be 2 weeks tomorrow!

Anyway, thank you for the compliments on our son - he is truly beautiful and makes the most adorable "cooing" sounds (and other sounds) and he has such adorable facial expressions! And he rarely ever cries and smiles and giggles already (no joke) and is just the sweetest little boy we've ever seen! Parenthood is the most rewarding experience, that's for sure!!!

All that pain was totally worth it, wasn't it?! I am sure that your heart just melts every time you look at him or hear him coo. Just wait until he says mama for the first time! I hear my little man now, he just woke up from his nap and he is saying "Mama up, mama up." So cute! Anyway, I hope that your PAIN allevates soon. Oh and I can't wait to see more pis of Mario! He looks likea doll baby!

Yes, it was 100% worth the pain.....and my heart does definitely melt everytime I look at him. He's trying to sleep now and is kind of cranky but I can't help but laugh (not in front of him, of course) because it's so damn adorable!!!

But he was just circumsized on Monday so that's definitely part of it.

Anyway, I can't wait until he can say "mama"........what a day that will be!!!!

And I have many other pictures that I will be posting soon, that's for sure!!!!
