we just started getting our baby to sleep through the night last friday. He's been doing really well, but tonight he's bursted in HYSTERICAL scream cries every half hour or so. All the books say to leave him cold turkey and he'll get the hint, but this isn;t like past crying. He's crying the cry he does when he hits his head or is like, desperate...But when we go in to comfort him he's immediately calm and all smiles. His dad missed his nighttime routine tonight, and I had to do it, so thats the only thing thats different. He seems fine when he's being held, almost happy. He's almost 7 mos, and has no teeth yet, so I'm guessing its teeth, but what do I do??? I need a breakkkkkkkkk from this

I would get some info on teething and see if that's a symptom. Does he have a fever?
I'm so sorry! That would be awful, especially since you don't know what's wrong. Is he sleeping where he always has?

Yess and it's horrible, hEart wrenching cry!
It's horrific, he's usually a really sound sleeper but he wouldnt stop crying so we gave him some more tylenol and now he's up with us (it took us 10 mins to Calm him down) watching my husband on xbox. I think it's teething - everyone says the most common sign is crying alot at night poor guy. I dont know, i'm just exhAusted.

Sounds like classic teething-night-time-terror! Averi had about 3 nights of that (not in a row...). Then like 2 weeks later she had teeth. NOW she has those fits during the day. There is no rest for the wicked.
Tylenol and patience is all you can do. Eventually Averi got sooo tired that she just passed out. But this was after 2hrs of that crying that was only consoled by bein held. It tough and you'll want to crawl in a ball and cry with them but it does pass.
Wish you luck!

I'm pretty sure its teething...my daughter is going through the same thing and she is 7 1/2 months. She has been drooling like crazy and biting on everything too. Although, sometimes I'm sure she just screams cuz she knows it gets us in there!!! Could be starting seperation anxiety early....I know my little one is, she wont even go to friends anymore without freaking out!!!Hope he starts sleeping better!!
