Echogenic bowel

My last ultrasound revealed that my baby girl has an echogenic bowel....I realize that this could mean serious problems or it could be normal. Have any of you came across this scare?

Your dr didn't discuss it with you? I have never heard of it so I can't really help but I would ask the dr for the most accurate info.

Yeah, the doctor discussed it with me. It can be a sign of a chromosome abnorality, fetal viral infection, cystic fibrosis.....or it could be something normal such as the baby having swallowed blood in the fluid. I did blook work today to see if I'm CF carrier and I have another US scheduled on March 10th. I mainly just want to see if anyone has dealt with this and if so, if everything turned out to be normal. Yikes it's scary!
