re: co-sleeper?

Quoting Brandy's having #2!:“ Does anyone have the cosleeper she's showing though? I'm wondering, also, how useful they are and also ... [snip!] ... n play. I need something that can be used while the baby sleeps when I work in the garden ... Any advice would be awesome!

I know a few people wit them. They are small and will only last about a year. You would be better off getting a regular pack in play and using it. They do fold up just like the pack in plays so you transprot them but they are small.

Even the full sized ones are smaller than a pack and play? I've never seen a cosleeper in person, but thought they would be the same size. I definitely need something that I will get a lot of mileage from. I thought the cosleeper would be cool though because you don't have to bend over and get the baby. And like someone else said, you can see them right beside you. I guess it sounds like I need to decide on how long I want to use it. Sigh ... it would be nice if it were the same size as the P&P. I'm gonna have to see if I can find one in person and then decide.

Babies r us has them. If you have seen a pack in play light they are the same size. Which are smaller. Pack in plays not come with a bassinett so you dont have to bend over and reach so far down. That part can be used up to 15 lbs or when the baby starts to roll after that you use the main part. They also come with changning tables and places to hpld diapers and things so if you are out side then you wont have to go in to get things for the baby.

Wow ... I didn't know they were so small.   I do like all the features they have now on pack and plays. And some of them are cheaper also. Hmmm ... did you get a pack and play for your use? If yes, which one and are you happy with it?

Yeah, I think I need to see it in person, too. I like the lowered edge on the cosleepers, but like the conveince and virsatality (sp) of the P&P.

Oh, that one is cute! I've thought about getting a p&p with the little gadets on the side. Did they hold what you needed? That would be so nice. With my son, ours didn't have that, so the diapers, wipes, etc were here or there. It wasn't too steep when the baby was in the bassinet part with a c-section? Thanks fr anwering all my questions!   I'm also just trying to weigh my options.

It held 5-9 diapers, wipes, rash cream and a few other things if needed. The bassinett was very high it is taller then bassinetts I have seen. it was very easy to get her out with my c-section. I did not have to bend over at all to get her out. I loved it. They also have differant colors and desgins. If you have a babies r us they have a ton of them out they also have the co-sleepers and pack in play lites.

Wow! My little mini pack and play seemed like a far bend down. Then again, I'm really tall (5'10", so maybe thats why). Having the diapers and so on would be nice! I think I'm going to make the trip to see what they have at babies r us (it's about 2-3 hours). It'd be easier to decide rather than looking on-line.

Quoting MonkynsMama:“ i'd honestly buy a pack n play over a cosleeper. You can pull it up to the bed side and you'll get alot more use out of it than a co sleeper.”

THE BEST ADVISE.... a pack and play 200$ a bassinett 130.... a pack and play is a bassinet, diaper changer, crib, playpen, and the best part is they can be your kids travel bedfor like 3-4 years
