My son is all stuffed up, what can I give him?? I can't get to my Dr. until next week

I suggest saline drops and bulb-suctioning his nose to get the snot out. A humidifier or vaporizer would probably work pretty good.

Is your baby rolling around in the crib, yet? If not, put a couple of phone books under the mattress at one end to keep his head elevated. You can also use the baby vapo rub stuff. Make sure you have the humidifier on high!

Make sure to check his temp. Check it inhis little butt it's the best way to get it right. My son is just getting over pneumiona and it started out just as being stuffed up. We used a humidifier and lots of saline drops. Also we found these vapor rup plug in things they work great too at night. The nurse also told me to try turning on the shower very hot and feeding him in the bathroom and just letting the steam do it's thing. If the temp gets too high make sure you take him to the ER but they told him not until it gets up past 103. Thank god it never did but i think i would have gone sooner. Try those things and just keep an eye on him. I held my son all the day long and just kept him close and that seemed to make him feel better too. Oh yeah make sure your feeding him more often the doctor said to make sure he stays hydrated so try at least offer him the boob or formula more. I hope you baby feels better soon.
