Yeah, I guess that makes sense, it's just kinda sad.

The best gift I can give my baby is to teach tollerance of things I don't understand and love of people, especially those that struggle. If I haven't walked a mile in someone else's shoes, who am I to judge....Empathy of someone's struggle is the best I can give, and in that, it's easier for me to forgive myself when I fall short of being the person I want to be.

I quit right when Ifound out. I knew it was more important to keep my baby healthy than me. So I just quit. And haven't even craved it. I find it quite disgusting now. I hate the smell and everything. I don't think I will be able to go back to it.

I no some girl who is due in March I think-And she smokes a pack a day and they are Newport 100's. So thats worse than just smoking a regular sized cigarette.

Smokers have to realize that the second you choose to become a smoker...you choose it for life. I still think about smoking...I just don't do it! It is something I will always have to live with and battle. But that is my own damn fault for starting in the first place.

I agree, that is nicely put...I think most mom strive to give their baby's and children that. Does this relate to the OP? Just wondering, or where you talking about that in general?

I believe that menthol is worse...at least worse for your lungs!

Because newports 100s are the longer ones. And they have alot more nicotine.

I still get cravings too...but I know that they'll pass...like you said, its a lifetime thing. You gotta just take it one day at a time.

and for the toleranc thing posted by someone else....yea, I dont expect my children to tolerate the deliberate poisonings that cigarettes cause. If a woman was drinking alcohol, shooting up heroine or whatever else there is, will you just shrug and say "I dont understand, so she must be doing whats right for her." C'mon.....

oh yeah, in general, but I also hate to read women jumping, scratching, and clawing on this site, when there is someone out there really hurt and struggling with something. You know? It just makes me sad. I think sometimes I forget there are real people with very tender hormonal feelers behind each computer...
I Have had soooo many friends quit or try to quit smoking and I watch how extremely hard it is for them!! Plus, I do mean it when I say when I am less judgmental of others, I take it easier on myself. Which is great because I am SO judgmental and hard on myself!!

I love my cig's too...still want them. You just gotta think of it like this...I want money too, am I going to go rob a bank? NO! You can't always have what you want. Two words...self control!
