When should I have the baby shower?

I just wanted to know how far along everyone has been having their baby showers? My mom and I have been argueing about it. And I just wanted to know around what month is the right time to do it. I'm due June 11th.

May sounds good. like 6 weeks unit your due date just in case he wants to come early  

Everyone's prolly gonna say May. I'm kinda iffy about when mine will be. I want it the end of March but SIL is throwing mid April. I just feel like I won't have much time after to get what I need that I didn't get at baby shower.

I had mine about a month and a half before my daughter was due. I'll probably do around the same with this one because that helped me to feel prepared and gave me time to get what else i needed. It was also just in time for nesting!

I really want to do it in April, but my moms driving me nuts. If I could plan my own I defintily would. I told her the theme I wanted and she said I'm going to throw it how I want to throw it. Ahh I have everything picked out down to the colors. I'm pretty picky I guess. I just don't want everything to be blue. And I really want to have it while I'm not completly uncomfortable!

you have it whenever you want to have it there's no rules.

I'm due March 20th and I'm having my babyshower February 17th. I think about a month before your due date is a good time.

My aunt is throwing me one either feb 23 or march 1st. I personally would rather not have one. I guess being it's my second I already have all the major stuff so I dont really need a shower. People usually bring gift's to the hospital and your house right after the baby anyways.

I threw my friend a baby shower it was her 4th kid but her mom refused to throw her one so she never had 1.. Everyone understood. If it's her 3rd and she's already had some i would say no

thanks..no she has never had one before...this will be her first..
plus its not a really big thing over here in the UK...

She is very controlling, she means well but she likes to do things her own way. And if I asked someone else to do it, it would really hurt her feelings.

thats why i wanted to see if it was okay for a friend to do it..as i dont think she would go ahead if her..arent all mums controlling...lol...i am with my two girls..and i hope to get out of the habit when they leave home...(soon i hope..that was a joke) going though their teens...ahhhhhhh
