Licking................

So, what the hell??? My 3 yr old started licking his hands ALL the time. ITs his new nervous habit. He licks them after playing in the dirt, going somewhere public, etc. I dont think i can stop it, maybe unless i talk with the pedi. Its disgusting. Im freaked out because he plays with lizards, and licks his hands! I try to tell him about germs and viruses and getting sick, but he licks more LOL. He licked the fish tank at an aquarium today and i pulled him away, and so he does it again. Anyone else have a kid with a nasty habit? Did it stop??? thanks.

my 2 1/2 yr old pick the fuzz off her diaper and shoves it up her nose.. and if she cant get fuzz from there she picks it off the couch.. its so weird.. and its just when she has a nuk in

I have a husband that likes.to lick must be a boy thing lol

My son has recently begun doing the same thing. licking all over his palms, one finger at a time, sometimes several fingers. I try to explain about germs and things but he just keeps on doing it. How are you going one year down the track? Is it still a problem? What worked (if anything) to get him to stop?
