We are not idiots if our Drs. told us to with the right amount. no one said give a full bottle and if they did then no not a good idea but a little under a ounce I was told was fine and hey! My kids are still alive and healthy so obviously I didn't do it wrong. Nor did I give it to them everyday. Just ones or twice. Warm water helps clear them up a little and helps get gas moving.

Well my kids pediatrician told us NO WATER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES

I tiny amount of water is no problem, it helsp clear them easier, its not as heavy as breastmilk or formula

But your situation could be completely different then hers. Same goes for the momma that suggested suppositories.

OP, did you call the doctor yet? Did she/he say anything?

I called last night and she said a warm bath and bicycle legs and to rub a little vasoline around his bottom. Today is day 9 or 10 and nothing has helped him yet. I feel so bad because hes so uncomfy and I know its not gas, I gave him gas drops and it didnt make any difference. He is also straining to go and to me it seems like he cant go. IDK what else to do to help my little guy. I called the maternal support nurse and she said try the tip of an infant supposatory and put about 10ccs of apple juice in with BM, we did that last night and still nothing at all

See again. I don't see the issue in that. Yes her child may have another issue. These forums are simply for suggestions. No one said she has to do what people suggest. Many people have been told to try different things whether it's water, prune juice, apple juice ect. They are just suggestions mothers have picked up on. No one needs to jump down any mothers throat.

Mm neither do I. My dr is really old fashion though but she was my dr as a child till I was adult and my kids dr and she does say some weird stuff. But nothing has hurt my kids. If anything they are really healthy. I just hate being called a idiot for a simple suggestion that worked on my kids. Anyway. I think I'm done with this topic. Good luck with your baby!
