i called my OB b/c i dont have a primary care physician on my new insurance... but either one.. it doesn't really matter.

I called my ob who wrote a rx for zoloft but also sent me to the psych who wrote a rx for zoloft too.

my ob sent me to a psych too... but she cant get me in till AUG!! damn.

someone asked what i was taking i didn't have the battle being i had it filled but i'm on zoloft as well but its makeing me really really tiered and i feel like i can't sit down like i just keep going and going when i'm really tiered and want to sleep i get maybe 2-3 hours then i'm up at 7 am in the morning after going to bed about 4-5 am anyone got any ideas on how i could get some sleep and deal with this i have myspace if anyone wants toadd me http://www.myspace.com/anna2203

how long have you been on it?? it use to do that to me too

since i had the baby shes now 6 months old i didn't start takeing the meds until jan like 2 months later or almost 2 months later i didn't go through this with my 1st one at all but this baby it hit hard i have it so bad that my ob wanted me to admit myself to the hospital but thank go its gotten a lil better being that shes a lil older now she dosen't cry like she use to anyone got any ideas on what i could do for my 6 months old wanting to be held 24/7 it drives me nuts i hope that don't make me sound like a bad mom its just that i can never get anything done

well my son is almost 9 months now
at first i was go see someone to talk about my ppd
and i was also taking meds too
this was from august to like dec
since dec i was fine until about a week ago
i started to feel like the walls are closing in on me since i have have been a stay at home mom
i mean i do try to goout at night but i am still always dead tired
i sometimes feel that my hubby does not help as much as he could i mean i know he works a lot of hrs but still
i sometimes feel that maybe we should have waited to have a baby or maybe we are not cut out to parents
somedays are good other days i feel just like crying
does it get better after you go back to work

You could try frontpacks, backpacks, or stroller rides. And you could try taking baby steps (no pun intended) like sitting on the floor together w/ the baby in your lap playing with toys. Then move to the baby sitting next to you. Then you and baby a couple feet apart, etc etc. It'll take a week or more to do that if it works...

Are you still on meds? Maybe your dose needs to be increased.

And you could go out during the day -- you don't have to wait for nighttime. Just sitting outside on the porch helps.

no i have not been on meds since nov cause i started to feel fine
this only start up again about aweek ago

It sounds like you started meds in Aug 07, so if you stopped in Nov 07 then that is your problem w/ feeling bad again. Anti-depressants are designed to be a long-term med, not a short-term med. Even if you feel better while on them, it does not mean you really are better. You need to go back on the meds asap before your depression gets worse.

So i didnt think i had ppd till today.
but im not sure if thats what it is.
this is why i think i have it::
-loss of appetite. i eat like once or twice a DAY. today i have only ate once. and im NOT hungry at all.
-during the night when my son wakes up hungry & crying and i lose sleep i cry with him. this morning i could NOT stop crying because im SOO tired. i take him to my mom in the mornings so i can get a few hrs of sleep. it only helps me to get thru the day. not the night!
-i stay in my house 24.7 my husband is in Iraq and i have been home for 2 weeks now and have only gotten out of the house once in 2 weeks.. i just have no energy to do anything.
-i get mad/aggrivated SUPER easy.. if Braiden is crying and i can figure out what he wants i get SUPER frustrated! *I am not anywhere close to the point of wanting to hurt him or myself*

does this sound like ppd or just stress?
i havnt been to the dr because i have to talk to my husband about tricare and all that idk if he has switched it over or what. but im going to talk to him tonight or tomorrow when he calls about it so i can get to the dr.

Kirstie, I'm so sorry you haven't gotten responses yet!! Normally there's more activity on this thread...

So did your DH switch your regions yet?

i really think its just stress..
& i havnt talked to him today =[
hopefully he will call tomorrow

has anyone tryed clomin for there PPD a friend of mine is on it and was woundering if anyone else is on it i think i'm ganna go back and ask the doctor for something else
