posted 11th Jul '10
My little girl was born at 36 weeks. We both stayed in the hospital for 5 days, but she didn't have to go to the NICU

Quoting Finally got a baby boy!:“ Both of my girls were born at 36 weeks. My oldest spent 9 hours in NICU because she was breathing "funny" and was then fine. My youngest was born perfect healthy.”

Exactly the same with my son. Born at 36 weeks. Had a little grunting and weird breathing but went to the NICU on oxygen for about 10 hours then came back fine and dandy. He got to go home when I did

My Daughter was born @ 35 weeks due to 3 days of preterm labor. She was 7lb 8.5oz....NO GD either! She stayed in the NICU for 2 days then we went home the same day together. Since then(its been 3 months), she has been diagnosed with FTT(Failure to thrive). She only weighs 10.5lb when she should be 16lb. She only eats 2-3oz every 3 hours... she refuses to eat more. She has been bumped up to 26cal/ounce..rather then normal 20cal/ounce.

both of my girls were born exactly at 36 weeks and 5 days. my oldest didnt have to do nicu and she just had to lil problems, one being jaundice ans 2 she had a small trouble keeping her temp up so she had to be under a heater in my room for a day. my youngest she didnt pass her car seat test and is jaundice. both girls were tiny my oldest weighed 5 lbs 1 oz and my youngest weighed 5 lbs 13 oz. we have been very blessed both times to not have any other problems or nicu either

I just had my daughter last week at my 35 wk mark. She is currently in the nicu and should be home next week. They estimate 2 wks. She was placed on cpap for 3 days and had slight jaundice.

My son was born at 35 weeks 4 days and weighed 5lbs 1oz and he came home with me. They thought he was gonna be smaller and told me they were gonna put him straight into the NICU but when he came out he surprised them all. Hes a happy healthy baby.

This is amazing, my son was also born at 36 weeks and 6 days and his weight was also 5lb and 15 oz at birth. He has same issues as you describe, but went home with me after 1 week and after I made a fuss in the hospital. In my opinion, he was ready to go home with me the second day, but the young inexperienced doctor that was in charge (she looked around 25 years old) was too scared of letting him home, I had to take it up to her superior to be able to take my son home after 1 week. She wanted to keep him for at least another week...   My son is now 3 years old and doing great the whole time.

I just had my baby she was a month and a day early. She was born at 35 weeks & 4 days. I had to get induced because of Pre-eclampsia :/ She is in the NICU in the IMC area. It freaking SUCKSSS I just want her to come home already. I'm trying to be as strong as I can. My boyfriend says they told him she should come home on her due date. Some say when she was going to be 37 weeks. They tell me she may have pneumonia and they are giving her antibiotics for a week that started Sunday. When do you all think she will be home?
