Just realized my last post didn't show up. Roxy- I'm so glad to hear that all went well. I was thinking of you!

I had my lap/hysteroscopy this morning. I can't decide if the results give me a little relief or make me want to cry. Turns out both of my tubes were completely blocked. They were able to clear one, but the other tube is beyond repair. They showed me pictures of the bad tube - it's completely twisted and swollen to twice the normal size- it looks awful.
After surgery, my doctor told me not to give up hope. You only need 1 tube to get pregnant so even though I'm "working" at 50%, it's not impossible for it to still happen naturally. Our chances are obviously less though. She suggested trying for 4 to 5 cycles and if no luck we will start researching IVF.

Hey girl! Sorry to hear about your tubes being blocked! But like your doctor said, don't give up hope!!!! I know this girl that only one working ovary, and she did IVF to get pregnant. She has a 9 month old, and just found out she's pregnant with her 2nd, not evening using IVF, it just happened and she was on birth control and breastfeeding! So it can defintely happen, dont give up!!

I wish you the best girl, I'm glad they were able to get in there and find the problem, and now you can take the proper steps to achieve pregnancy!! xoxo.

Oh wow, that is some tough information to process!!! Try to focus on the positive--you have a chance now! You are armed with more information and that always helps! Lots of baby dust to you!

Hi ladies!

Thought I'd update everyone on here, for those that aren't in the other threads. We went to DHs urologist appointment and told us our best bet was for him to get the surgery to find sperm. He walked us through what the surgery entails and how many days he would need to recover, and all that stuff. Then, he told us that there's a 60% chance of finding sperm!!!!! That's a great chance! Better than I thought it would be!!!!

So the downfall is we are paying out of pocket, so we were afraid at the price of the surgery. He told us that the hospital may take DHs insurance to cover hospital costs and all we would have to pay is 2500 for the surgeon fee which is doable. So now we are just waiting to hear back from them to see if the hospital takes his insurance. Crossing everything I can cross! lol

Thank you ladies for the support! Got some positive news today! During my surgery, they took a biopsy of my bad tube to see if it was bad due to Endo or (God forbid) cancerous. Got the call today that the biopsy was normal! No Endo or anything else. Huge relief!!

Ashleigh- I am so happy to hear your good news! Do you have a time frame idea of when he'd have the surgery done? I feel like this is a huge step! Yay!!

That's great news!!! I'm so glad it came back normal!

We aren't sure yet, I want to schedule it ASAP, but they need the 2,500 surgeon fee up front first so we have to wait. Some family members are helping us, we are very blessed!

That's awesome that you are getting some help!! Will Patrick be out of commission for awhile? Is it a painful surgery? Either way, it will be well worth it.

Isn't it crazy to think of the things we are going through to become parents? We are so strong. If only making a baby was as easy as having sex!! Lol
