PCOS

Hey everyone!
I hope that everyone had a great Monday!! A friend of mine who's been TTC for a while now, went to the doc today and he told her that she has PCOS and possible endometriosis (*Sp). She is really upset about what the doc told her; he's not sure she's ovulating at all. I really want to help her up and I know that there a lot of PCOS mothers out there, so my question to you is, what advice can I give her? I want to make sure that she knows that I am there for her 100%, what do you all think I should do/say? I've tried to get her to get on bg, but no luck yet!

Thankfully they have meds now days to help you ovulate. Tell her things will happen in their own due time, they did for me! Good luck

I would recommend that your friend see a specialist to recieve a second opinion. My "mom" has endometriosis and she has three beautiful children, she and her doctor found a regimen that worked out well for her. Best of luck to your friend.

there's a lot of ladies who have been able to get pregnant with pcos and have no problems. just got to get everything all situated. more than likely they will put her on metformin and when she's ready to try to conceive they will add clomid in the mix. depending on whether your friend is pcos lean or not they may suggest a diet as well just to try to lessen any potentials of diabetes (since that seems to be another factor that goes hand in hand with pcos). with the endometrioses, it all depends on what stage she's at but even that can be manageable as well for pregnancy...there are lots of other sources that talk about pcos out there and so many women have it...i know there's a few mamas on here who have had successful pregnancies/treatments with it...

Thank all of you! I talk to her about BG all the time, I just tell her how much I love my women here! I'll pass along that website, hopefully she'll be on here soon!
