re: Official Nursing school forum!!!

holy, I've been busy with other threads on here and no one has posted in here for awhile so I forgot all about it!

got my letter last week, starting the lpn portion of my college's nursing program in january  

just have to try and get through physiology this fall  

I started working for a company called the nurse next door to gain experience for nursing, while i wait school to finish up. Start my first day on friday should be good.

I failed NCLEX..........I made it thru school and got stopped. Gotta say and warn, if you do not have a good support system, nursing school is gonna be very challenging.........BUT, don't ever ever ever let that stop you. I pretty much graduated and became a SAHM while my husband started work full time. Had no time for myself since I didn't have a reason to leave, even if I had to study.

So now, plan B........keep studying and PASS!

I took my NCLEX today. I passed my boards. Yeah!!!

I am really trying to decide if I should finish my pre-req's before I have another baby. I figure I won't be done with those for atleast another 2 years and that means my DD would be well over 4... Ugh.

Ladies, I had to decline my position in the nursing program due to some financial situations that popped up. I'll need to work full time for us to get by. Hopefully I can apply next year. I'm heart broken.

Kaplan is $500 right now and I don't have stable sitters to get me thru a week. (online is outta the question) I am coming up with a plan during vacation next week. I could use one right about now!

one book, one packet of notes, and $250 later....ishy poo.

college books are a joke but a necessary evil.
