If you aren't breastfeeding (which I didn't) you can keep them wrapped in an Ace bandage VERY TIGHTLY! Or, a sports bra that is too small for you works as well. I know that sounds painful but for me, once I actually got the sports bra on and situated, it felt pretty good.
You can also keep ice packs on them. DO NOT let hot/warm water hit them in the shower...it makes them worse. At least it did mine.

Years ago they used to give you something that would dry your milk up if you weren't BFing...they don't have that any longer...

i have on a small sized sports bra with my ginormous boobs! lol it hurts to take off but support wise its nice. im trying to keep the hot water off in the shower...but i have a double shower thing, so its hard for it to get off lol.

thank you! i know it will end soon! lol

when i had my little girl, i didnt breast feed. but everything you have heard so far is true. when mine got big they went from a B to a D and boy did they hurt. Wear sports bras until the pain goes away and after that keep wearing bras so they can go back to their normal shape. if you dont, they could end up saging. the theory about the cabbage leaves is true, too. they worked for me and within 48 hours the pain was gone and they started shrinking back down. and dont put them in warm water at all, it makes the glands swell even more. and if they hurt say when ur holding ur baby and he/she is crying, you can take advil, that works too.

I have heard that if you take cabbage leaves and wet them wrap them in a zip lock bag air tight and put in freezer for like 20-30 min then take them out and put them on your breasts with a tight wrap (acebandage) or tight sports bra and wear them till they get warm and repeat that it helps alot. You will stick like cabbage for a little while but its worth it.
