For those of you with irregular cycles, when should I start using OPKs? I'm CD 5

I'm very sorry to hear about your mom   I hope things start looking up. That is so hard.

I am at 6 days until my period, I caved in and took a test yesterday afternoon. It was a dollar store test and got a BFN. I figured it would be but still felt crushed. I have a couple symptoms so still holding onto hope and I'm not going to test until the day my period is due or the day after if I haven't gotten AF. So hard to wait, and so hard to not get your hopes up!

I'm 6 days until AF is due too! I'm hoping she doesn't show on the 30th and then I'll test on the 1st.

I would said wait and start until CD 7. I'm not irregular but I have very short cycles and I start on CD 7 and usually get my positive around CD 10 or 11. I'm not saying it's impossible but it's very unlikely you're going to get a positive on CD 5. If you have tons of test though then I say heck pee away. lol

My cycles r between 30-40 days andi usually start at CD 13

That would be crazy and amazing if we all got BFP on the 1st. Lol! Fingers crossed!

After AF starts I don't know if we will keep TTC, might take a break. We had a miscarriage in September and I don't know if I am ready to deal with TTC and all the ups and downs of it yet.

We r preventing next month. There r 10 birthdays in April in his family. I don't wanna add to that

we're preventing next month as well. DS's birthday is in April

We will pobably not be TTC next month either. I am going to Vegas for Scentsy convention July 24, and my estimated O date (depending on this cycle and all) is between July 23and 25. SO isnt goign with me to Vegas, so we will most likely miss O. If I get lucky and O on the 23rd or 24th we may manage to catc the egg, but it will be unlikely, so we arent gonna really try. I'll still chart, so I know when to expect AF, but wont be actively ttc
