I posted an anouncement earlier, but here is a short version of the story....with pics.
My water broke at 7:20 a.m. I went to the hospital around 7:45, and on the way, I had my first contraction, followed by a second only 5 minutes later....it came on fast. However, the progress was slow the whole day.
I labored from 7:20 am until 9:56 p.m. when he was born. I had two epidurals throughout the day, both of which stopped working. At 8:35 p.m., I was told that I had to have a c-section because his head would not fir through my pelvis, and I had been at 9 cm for over 2 hours. It was going nowhere else naturally, so I had to have a spinal...this was the worst part of the night. It wasn't so much the spinal, but the fact that I had to get it and sit up straight while having contractions and hard back labor after already having an epidural and then another shot through my IV.
Needless to say, my husband held me hand the while time, and told me he loved me. He even watched the entire process. I had Broden at 9:56 p.m. It was very painful and long, but I loved him more than anything, and he is definetely worth it.
Here are the Stats...
Broden Robert Brooks, Born on Jan. 17th at 9:56 p.m., 21 inches, 7 lbs. 13 oz.
Note: He is a Buffalo Sabres fan! lol!
