Mirena IUC

I got the Mirena IUC about 3 weeks go. I have not cramping but Ive not stopped bleeding. Is that normal? Its like ive been on my period since the day I got it. I called the dr and they said its normal to spot but what exactly is spotting? I thought that meant it wouldnt need a thick pad. Any ideas?

I just barely got mine on wednesday and the doc. said that some people have heavy periods the first couple months, some just get spotting for a couple of weeks and some people's periods stop completely! I had spotting for a couple days it wasn't anything much but that first day I did have alot of bleeding. But today I just have like a few drops on my pad every time I change.

My doctor didnt really explain it all. Its just like a period for 3 weeks seems long. I hope it gets better I think Im really going to like this! Thanks!

I'm hoping I'm one of the lucky one's that never get a period as long as the IUD is in place LOL I hate periods! they are nasty and I feel so dirty the whole time I have one!

Yes you can. I would recomend it. It hurt getting it but the cramping only lasted a few days.

I was bleeding for the whole 6 months I had the IUD, it would only stop for like a week at a time!

yup i know what u mean..i bleed for 2months..it sucks but well worth it..

i got mine put in mid-november & i'm still bleeding.
