8 months not crawling yet

Okay every one I talk to seems like their baby's are already crawling. My son loves to sit and he'll reach forward until he lands on his belly then he will just lay there. he doesn't try to get up on his knees. When I try to put him on his stomach so he can practice he cry's and wants to sit up. Does any one else have an 8 month old who is not crawling yet?
what are some good ways to get him to crawl. What did your babies do?

dont you worry!, Leo is 10 months on the 23rd, and he only started crawling a few days ago! , it happens eventually  , i had Leo facing is fave toy and he just kept trying to go for it  

when u lay him on the floor leave him there for a bit even tho he is crying hell get used to it and try more to get up and crawl to mommy but if ur really worried about it id take him to the dr and make sure nothing is wrong with his knees or back that is restricting him from getting on his knees

Some babies never crawl and go straight to walking so I wouldn't worry to much about it. Just try to give him some tummy time every day and he will do it when he is ready.

I don't think its that because when he's sitting in his crib he'll lean forward and pull himself to his knees. And i've propped him on his hands and knees he'll stay that way and wobble for maybe a minute or two at the most then he'll just lay back on his stomach and roll to his back and roll until he get's something else to play with...... smart lil man!

crawling is not actually a milestone and some babies never do it... Don't worry!

well he just moght want to be stubborn and not crawl i did for only 2 weeks then i walked or scooted myself around the house but i think as long as he can trying i dnt think itd be that bad jus try to introduce it more to him but he might and might not

don't worry about it, my son didn't start crawling until almost 10 months, he jsut didn't want to. he found other ways of getting to what he wanted. like scooting on his butt or rolling around. it's normal and remember all babies are different they all do things at different times in life, if you compare everything from your son to everything form everyone else's you know you'll go crazy. trust me. when he's ready he'll do it

my best friends son is 8 almost 9 months old and all he does is roll across the floor! He doesn't even attempted to crawl he just rolls to what he wants! It's really cute, but now he has started to pull himself up on things but will get back on the floor and roll across it if he wants to be somewhere else lol

My daughter never crawled either. She did this little smim/ scoot thing and then went straight to walking.

eeiden started crawling like 3 days b4 he turned 8 month
but you dont really want them too they get into everything

my son does the same thing...he hates to crawl...won't even try it

I was just thinking about it.. my friends little girl who is now 5 months is already crawling!!
unfair lol.

not really cuz my mom said once they crawl you have your hands full....so be thankful for the fact you can put them down and they stay in one spot
