Due Feb. boobs HURT???

posted 18th Jan '08
Hey ladies I'm due Feb. 5th and for the past week my boobs have HURT sooo bad.... I nursed my first son for 13th months and I ended up with mastisis 3 times so I know it's not that .... do any of you have the same thing going on, could it be just them getting ready to nurse this one too with my milk coming in?

Yes, my boob soreness has come back. They were only sore for the first 2 weeks after I found out I was pregnant. Now its back with a vengeance!

I know!!! I got myself sized at Victoria's secret, so I could get some nursing bras...2 weeks later when I finally got some new bras, they no longer fit! I even ordered larger than what VS said, because I knew they'd be bigger when the milk came in. Argh! I am down to one bra that fits, and it is seriously uncomfortable. Now I'm just waiting until after I have the baby to get some more bras, because otherwise it is just a waste of money.

My boobs don't hurt at all! I'm worried! They haven't hurt since the first trimester, and I've never leaked once. It makes me worry that I have no milk! Where's my milk!!!!!! They're still pretty big though.

my friend that lives next to us with both of her kids she didn't leak any milk at all before she had her babies!!!
and mine never hurt like this before I had my first son..... wait until after a day or two of having the baby though and man oh man your boobs will be HARD as a rock and even bigger then EVER!!!!!!! Are you ladies planning on breastfeeding?

Some women never leak and are able to breastfeed just fine. Plus, you won't get your milk until a few days after your baby is born. What leaks during pregnancy is colostrum. And I wouldn't worry about having no soreness, everyone is different.

Yeah, I plan on breastfeeding. I'm going to try to do it for the first year, we'll see how it works out!

One thing that is nice though after you have the baby your chest will get smaller width wise..... I was a 34B before I had my first son but when I'm prego I go to a 38 C and I remember with my first son I even nursed and I when down to a 34 C which was nice so maybe those bras will fit you again after your milk supply gets under control....
after 10 days nursing my first son my boobs didn't hurt anymore and they had the supply and demand thing down.... haha

yeah that's GREAT!!!! The first 10 days are HORRIBLE.... just thought I would tell ya like it is..... they are HUGE , SORE, and like my other post said your body has to get use to the supply and demand system after that though it's the best thing ever!!! I can't wait to nurse this one!

I hope so. That is what didn't fit, was the width. The cup size was ok though. I just couldn't believe it had changed that much in only two weeks! I guess it's from my ribs expanding to make room for my lungs? I heard that is what happens when it starts getting cramped in there anyway.

Thanks for the truth on breastfeeding. I suppose if I've dealt with all these aches and pains for 9 months, I can deal with painful boobs for a couple of weeks, lol.

Some people they don't change much... and like I said with my first son they didn't hurt at the end at all just with this one.... so maybe it's different with everyone!
