Anyone reusing bedding from 1st baby same gender?

posted 18th Jan '08
I was just wondering if anyone else is having a second baby same sex (mine's a girl & I have a 2 1/2 yr old daughter) and are using the same bedding? I had Koko by Kidsline w/my 1st (bought for me by a very generous family member) & We don't have a ton of extra $ so I am going to re-use whatever I can for the new baby. Am I being too cheap?

Heck no you're not being too cheap! If I still had my stuff from my older ones I'd use as much of it as I could.

Sadly, with there being 14 years inbetween them I had to buy new everything!

it aint being cheap it's really nothing wrong with it at all. I wish I had things to use for my baby I still havent gotten anything yet cuz money is really tight so i honestly feel cheap. Plus babies dont care if there brand new or not. as long as there comfortable and happy thats all the should matter.

My boys will be sharing a room, so the theme is staying the same. We got a new set (as a gift) for my oldest so the we will be reusing what he had for him with the new one. You are absolutely not being too cheap! There is no sense in spending money on something that isn't necessary when you are low on funds.

no i dont think its cheap or a bad thing. i still have it i just dont wanna do classic poooh again. i liked it then but now my taste has changed so much but the bedding i have for this baby i will use again if i have another boy!! if you still like the bedding and dont mind using it then it shouldnt matter. i mean people use baby products [[swings - bouncy chairs - cribs]] from a previous pregnancy and clothes so why not bedding.

im using my sons old baby clothes. and a few other things

That's actually part of the reason I picked out a unisex set. I had it picked out weeks before we even schedualed our ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby! This way, we can reuse it!   So, more power to you if you have the girlie set and having another girl! I'm a huge penny pincher, so.... that's not cheap at all, it's smart!

how old is your oldest?? i was thinking of putting the boys in the same room but im afraid ryan will hate having the baby crying and waking him up and stuff so i figured when the baby is 2 ryan will be 5 and we will get them bunk beds.

My oldest will be just shy of 3 when the baby is born. We plan to keep theTristan in our room for the first 3-4 months, then transition him into the same room. We figured this would give us time to allow Brant, our oldest, to adjust to his toddler bed as well.
