No. Wait until your second trimester. It's really not safe to do anything to your body until then.

you should talk to your doctor.

I googled Proactiv while pregnant. One website said that Proactiv uses Benzoyl Peroxide which is safe during pregnancy, and that you shouldn't use products that contain Tetracycline, Salicyclic Acid (a common ingredient in over-the-counter acne treatments), Tretinon (sold under the brand name Retin-A), and Isotrentinoin (sold under the brand name Accutane). And I would definately ask your DR

haha thats true. the only reason they say not to use certain face washes is becasue your skin obsorbs the chemicals, and it can enter your blood stream, and reach the baby, and blah blah blah.

BTW we have the same due date!

I have a 3 month old daughter right now, just to let you all know, I continued using Proactiv all through my pregnancy, and she came out just fine, perfect, and healthy and happy. I read all the ingredients in face products that cannot be used during pregnancy and none of them were found in Proactiv, my doctors gave me the okay and even the ladies who sell the products say lots of pregnant women still come to purchase and use. I found no effects at all but good skin through pregnancy! Hope this helps!

I used Proactiv during my pregnancy, and everything was just fine. Doctor said it was ok. Also, you can go to a hospital pharmacy and buy Benzoyl Peroxide, by itself. They have different %'s you can get. It is recommended to use the 10%. My best friend used this, as Proactiv did not help her pregnancy acne at all. The Benzoyl Peroxide cleared her right up. The doctor said it was ok to use, and a dermatologist recommended it as well.

I used proactiv up until I was in my second trimester, then I heard that it can cause birth defects, so I stopped using it immediately! My baby is fine thank goodness, but I still am not going to use it. I am using St. Ives apricot scrub now and it is actually working better than the proactiv and it is much cheaper!

omg.. i had no idea about acne cream causing problems in pregnancy! thats crazy

I use clean & clear
Continuous Control Acne Cleanser.. It works great.. but it is okay to use??

BTW proactive is bad to use even if your not pregnant! Once you stop using it your acne comes back worse!
