Tomorrow I'm taking the kids camping, I use pockets. Any advice on how to wash in case we run out while there?

I have 2 pail liners i use in the trash can. I really hope this works tho!

I don't use a liner and never have smells.

Same. I have a rag that I put TTO on clothes pinned to the pail, and I use baking soda on the bottom and after poopy diapers.

Nope, they are microfiber  

I fixed the problem with my pockets, i bleached the mf inserts and they absorb wonderfully. I think the problem is with the proper fit. LO is 10 months old and she is a skinny and tall baby with not so chunky thighs and that leaves a gap between the elastic and her leg. I have tried sizing down but that doesnt work because the diaper ends up too small for her bum, and i dont put them too tight so that its comfortable for her. Should I put the pockets a little tighter? will they leave welts on her legs?

This is the house we bought (before the had it up for sale). They left us some really nifty things, but I see a few more in the video I wish they would have left, lol.

Try double stuffing the pockets.

Hi mamas, I want to try pocket diapers but I absolutely CAN'T STAND microfiber or cheapie polyester diapers.

I want some that are micro-fleece liner with anything but a microfiber insert, any advice on what kind to get? And if you have any for sale let me know! =]

Rumparooz, order with a hemp or bamboo soaker instead of the stock microfiber.
though I'm not positive on what the inner is from memory.

The inner is fleece. I've been washing my Lux every other day since Feb (and gasp! I always throw it in the dryer) and my fleece is still soft and fluffy (sadly not as soft as brand new, but way better than other pockets I've had).

Some of my pockets need new elastic, and I'm gonna try to replace it myself. Is there a certain kind of elastic that's best to use?

I just bought the cheap brand. The like 1/4 of an inch, i think?

I love my AppleCheeks. The only Manufactured diaper I'll buy. They are pricey though and the manufacturer says you can lay the bamboo insert in the cover (pocket) and re-use it for multiple changes just replacing a new insert... You can't. They're wrong about that. They're definitely the best quality and fit I've found from a manufactured dipe.
