Feeling guilty?

posted 15th Jan '08
Does anyone else feel guilty about sitting here and chatting all day while your significent other is out there busting his butt to pay the bills? The last couple of days I have done nothing but sit at this computer until about an hour before my fiance' comes home from work and then in that last hour I will try to make it look like I have been busy all day cleaning. Granted I am 31 wks prego but I just can not justify using that for an excuse. I guess I feel like his job is to make the money while I take care of the home and I am not living up to my part. Don't get me wrongour house is clean but there are still things that I could be doing, laundry, etc. Should I feel guilty?

Psh, Im the one out busting my ass.. He works too but he hates me, so hmph.. Anyway, dont feel bad about it. Youve got a good reason to relax and take it easy.   In my first three months I couldnt get out of bed (and since I hadnt told my family I got the constant reminder of how lazy I was getting x_x).. But now Im at work everyday cept the weekends from about 4-11.  Ilike being able to get out of the house and earn some money, but Im just wondering howlong Im going to be able to keep this up. Anyway, enjoy it while you can, once baby gets here its gonna be hectic (maybe not.. but probably xP).

Lol.
I don't feel guilty.
But I also make sure the house is clean.
Laundry is done.
Dinner is ready and waiting for him when he gets home.

I wouldn't feel guilty as long as everything is done that needs to be done. I myself am 38 weeks and still working as I'd go nuts sitting at home, but like I said, if everything is done and he has no complaints then I wouldn't worry about it hon.

i dont see it being a guilty trip...like Taj said above, as long as the house is clean dinner waiting..why not enjoy being on here and chatting...my hubby doesnt mind as when he comes home takes over our son, he goes on his pc to chat to his mates regarding fishing..

That is why I feel guilty... because dinner is not on the table when he gets home but the house is clean, for the most part, and the laundry is usually done but maybe not put up. I don't really know how to cook thoughor maybehe is much better at it then me even though I know that cooking is the last thing he wants to do when he gets home. Maybe I should set a time limit for myself or clean first and then chat. Does anyone have any ideas or web sitesfor some easy dinners? I would like to surprise him with dinner on the table once or twice this week. It is the least I can do for him.

Here's an easy recipe.

1 pillsbury cresent roll thingy
1 lb hamburger
4 oz cream cheese
1 cup grated cheese (don't matter what kind)

Unroll cresents. Divide into half. Press one half onto a greased cookie sheet. Brown hamburger. Add 1 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp oregano, 1/2 tsp basil, 1/2 tsp pepper, 1/2 tsp pizza seasoning. Put on cresent that's on pan. Spread cream cheese on hamburger. Sprinkle cheese on cream cheese. Put other half of cresent on top and pinch the sides together. Bake at 375 for 20 minutes.

That was dinner last night.

I have all of those ingredients so I think I will give it a try. Thanks! OK now I have to make it look like I have been busy all day. LOL Thank you everyone. Talk to you tomorrow.

SHYTE.
I FORGOT.
You need a bitty can of tomatoe paste to put in the hamburger.
If you don't have that, use tomatoe sauce like 1/2 cup.

I always feel that way!
I worked up until about a month ago, but ever since, I have just felt so guilty!
My boyfriend doesn't want me to do anything though, and he is the one who made me stop working.
He just says.. "I make the babies, and I support the babies; you just make sure they are healthy."

See, I like that, as long as you're able to stand and move around and complete those basic necessities, I wouldn't have a problem with it if my girlfriend stayed at home but she also works at espn with me butin another division. Of course during your third trimester you're sometimes limited to things you can do so a guy should understand that.
